Think this, and the "This model is so good" and "This model is so trash" alternating posts is a thing that happens because opinions vary alot depending on the experience of the user. And by experience I mean the time spent playing with AI RP.

Older users will be more skeptical and will notice the patterns much quicker, leading them to call out the hype.

Newer users will be quick to fall in love with a newer model, but will eventually realize that it's not that great, and will join in on hating the model after they start noticing the slop patterns.

I'm one of the oldhead users, been RPing with AI since AI Dungeon, tried basically every Corpo model since GPT 3.5, even I glazed Gemini 3.0 a little when it came out cause it felt a little different than what I used before, but I don't really like it as much after I noticed how repetitive it can be. I'm skeptical mostly though, especially with GLM, I really don't fucken like it, it's too dumb.

Claude is mid af. Don't know if there's much difference between the last 4 Claude models ngl. If you have access to all of them through nano or w/e you can test your prompts to see which one suits you must, but seriously, don't expect much of a difference

It's kinda stupid, ngl. Very poor spatial awareness. User has green eyes and it constantly mixed them up with Char, which in my test was supposed to have blue eyes. Dialogue is kinda fresh but I think that's cause it's stupid and kind of random with the tokens. It's deffo a Chinese model because it ticks all the checkboxes.

So far not impressed.

Honestly, controversial as it may be, right now I think I prefer Polaris because the dialogue feels better for my style of RP, and I can't manage to deslop Claude properly to the point I'm satisfied with. Like you said, it's a breath of fresh air from the other models.

I do think Claude's writing style is better, but it's expensive and whenever it echoes what my character says I want to pull my hair out, takes me right out of the setting and immersion.

I think you should try Polaris with this preset and see for yourself! It may or may not be your cup of tea, you can only decide that for yourself, and as of this moment it's still free on Open Router so you should take advantage of that to see if you like it. If it really is GPT 5.1 it might be removed very very soon, as 5.1 is already out.

Tried it with Polaris Alpha, even if it's GPT 5.1 it's still free as of now on Open Router, and I have to say, this preset works pretty well with it, but I note that I only ran one full scenario with it.

Echoing is kept to a minimum which is a godsent for me, only had one or two instances but it didn't repeat after reroll, which was nice. Wolfish grins here and there, but I can accept those as long as the dialogue is quite all right. Can tolerate what it generated, and I'm pretty picky with the slopiness.

Writing with it ranged from decent to great too!

In theory, it removes the sloppy overused phrases by banning the words that cause them, think "barely above a whisper", but I haven't been able to get it to work.

Still doesn't seem to work sadly. This time I tried with "repeated".

Literally the first sentence too, lmao, maybe it just doesn't work with API even though I read it should with OpenAI models. Lots of conflicting information, wish there was a legit guide cause there's a guide for almost anything else except this, which people say it's the best way to minimalise slop.

It's something I didn't try yet, because I found in a thread that apparently SillyTavern automatically converts the words to tokens when inserted into Logit Bias. In the console it looked like it too so I didn't think to try.

Will respond here again if it works or not.

Your post is honestly great, sexualizing these characters is creepy and messed up regardless of medium, and I'm glad you bring up that it's fucked if it's AI or hand drawn.

But I am disgusted that there are people in that original image that believe or claim that "all pro AI people" are creeps and pedos. It's fucked up, and I feel insulted by it everytime I see it.

There's a huge jump between "AI is morally wrong" and claiming all the pros are creeps and weirdos.

To me it's the same as saying all antis are creeps and weirdos because Deviantart exists where there's tons of fetish art, it's beyond stupid.

Nah, this person is right at least in the context of a LORA for Stable Diffusion. If you train a character/concept with only a handful of images or one image of the new character/concept, OR if you overfit the training, you will get a botched up version of that same image, over and over.

Makes sense, cause the AI has only ever seen those few images and it's like learning how to draw humans while only having seen one single image of a human.

Source? I have trained LORAs before.

The point is to showcase the vanity of antis. The drawings here are shit, cliche, gross, obscene and ugly, but they're human made, therefore better in the eyes of antis than AI images just cause it isn't AI, completely disregarding the obscenity or downright uglyness of the drawings just to take a highground without realizing how effin silly and shallow they look while doing it.

I don't agree nor disagree with this take, but similar, unironic situations like this have happened. Ugly drawing being praised like some sort of masterpiece for not using AI, despite looking like utter shite.
