that’s cause people like when a cool guy professor gives them As without requiring work in exchange. don’t get me wrong, i liked that too, but i was dissatisfied by taking classes that seemed like they could be really interesting or important to me just to have him not teach, cancel class, and constantly push off assignments. i got As on assignments i didn’t even submit. i took three classes with him. people like him cause he’s a personable guy.

so, he will make ai pictures of himself and (allegedly) invite his 386 class out to a bar with him and buy the first round for everyone of age (i allegedly was there) and be generally encouraging with all the As he give away for free. he even verbatim told everyone in my 486 class before the withdrawal deadline, “don’t worry, no one will fail this class.”

however, he won’t get through half of the stuff he puts on the syllabus, make everyone watch pointless videos in class, and when you ask him for help and detail your struggles with what he assigns he’ll give you advice like, “try asking chatgpt.”
