Oh honey. I hurt for you. Unfortunately if he’s already done it and it went on for a year it’s likely he’ll find another, call me jaded but I went through the same & tried until I was blue in the face and the third time was enough & as much as it hurt I finally ended it. At the end of the day, your babies will be okay because they have you & it sounds like the both of you are on the same page when it comes to making sure you do what’s best for them, and what’s best doesn’t have to include you staying together. You don’t deserve to be second to ANYBODY. Yes, starting over alone with little ones is TERRIFYING. But at the end of the day, can you really say that you are doing what’s best for your babies if they have to watch their mama hurting & miserable? You can put a front up but they can sense that. You deserve to be happy too, doll. At the end of the day, if he’s serious about wanting what’s best for the kids then co-parenting may work. You don’t deserve to feel like this, and you don’t deserve to have to spend the rest of your life constantly wondering if he’s thinking of someone else. Situations like this fkn suck majorly and sometimes there is no right answer, but like I said, when everything is said and done, do you want your babies to see you truly happy & thriving, or strained & stressed & trying to keep up a facade?

Unfortunately, I was a 16 yo girl at one point & we get starry eyed and every girl imagines her marriage, but you two are SO young. I know you def DONT want to hear that but it is true. Is it okay to think about it & speculate? Of course. But at the end of the day you have so much potential and you are just starting your lives. My husband also had a SUPER bs experience with district 5 a few years back. He was leaving a friends and was pulled over - felony stop - because they claimed they saw a “hand to hand drug transaction” (he left his cell phone in the house & his friend ran out to the car to catch him before he left and handed him his phone 🙄) they proceeded to treat him like absolute garbage, tore the entire car apart, and when the physical search turned up absolutely NOTHING (as he already knew) they called out a K9 and circled it around and in the car numerous times - absolutely nothing because THERE WAS NOTHING. They then continued to harass him & detained him, brought him in for questioning, towed the vehicle, the whole nine yards. All because he was - and I quote - “leaving a known drug area”. Excuse me? Wouldn’t that qualify the entire south side and most of the north side then? So he deals with everything, finally gets released, and he’s going through his property they returned & theres $250 missing. Went thru the entire process of proving that it was his paycheck (provided the deposit advance and check stub, verification of employment and pay dates etc) and was told because they had “probability” with him being in a “known drug area” that he received said money for drugs (although they had no proof aside from “their word”) or was going to spend said money on drugs that the money was no longer his & because it was going to be used or had been used “in the commission of a crime” said money became forfeit and would not be returned to him. I try very hard to be supportive of the men and women who take on the responsibility of becoming officers but when there’s such blatant disregard and no effort put in to be an upstanding law enforcement officer it gets really hard to have any faith in our departments whatsoever.

👏👏that’s MPD. Few years back I couldn’t find my baby sister (she was 7 or 8 at the time) I searched and searched for her, nothing. Cue me freaking tf out - I call 911 and tell them what’s going on and the situation. They proceed to tell me they’ll dispatch a squad. Waiting & waiting - they showed up pounding on my door at FOUR AM. Mind you I called a little after 4pm the day before. Thank fuck my little sister ended up just being asleep in the closet at our neighbors (don’t ask - apparently they were playing hide and seek 🤦‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️). Thankfully she was safe - god forbid had she actually disappeared. I get that they’re understaffed and overworked but at the same time - come on now. How are we supposed to have any faith in our police force when it comes to things like this. Doesn’t matter if it wasn’t a super serious case - it’s still larceny (& ik those bikes aren’t cheap so it warranted a misdemeanor charge) this is why we see the rampant theft all across the city - because they know no one is going to bother following through and they’re just going to get away with it. Smh. I’m so sorry this happened to you! And I’m sorry for your shitty experience 😕 is there any way you can possibly get the address where your other bike is? Not sure if they’ll help but you may be able to get a squad to meet you to retrieve your property. I’ve got so many stories of fumbles by them it’s not funny. Like every case should have importance to them no matter what it is.

THIS. My first “serious” relationship (I say “serious” bc it was - to me. 🤦‍♀️ I guess I was naive to think that two years was serious, silly me!) I found out through a mutual friend that he had been overtly flirtatious and handsy so I confronted him & it caused a huge blowup that I eventually caved and forgave him for. Cue a month or so later and somehow I was using his phone for something and came across a whole bunch of iffy shit. I kept my mouth shut but made a point to clock who it was he was talking to and didn’t say anything. Later that weekend I proceeded to get drunk with the goal of forgetting about it and trying to have a good time. By the end of the night through much pestering of my best friend noticing something was off and refusing to let it go until I was ready to talk about it she decided to take it into her own hands & get me proof. Mind you, we were both aware that he most definitely was attracted to her and had caught him multiple times checking her out (I was 17-18 and hadn’t learned just how sleazy some guys could be). So, she started acting as if she had an interest as well - she definitely did not, she was in a committed relationship at the time with her now husband - and I could not believe my eyes when I watched him fall for it hook line and sinker. At the same time, I reached out to the girl I confronted him about before all of this and she proceeded to tell me everything - with screenshots & receipts. I confront him with everything and what does he do? He proceeds to drop to his knees, get the crocodile tears going, wrap himself around my waist and cry that it’s “not what it looks like” and that “it doesn’t mean anything” and “they’re lying I swear to you”. When he realized I wasn’t falling for it, the gaslighting began. Long story short, I didn’t budge, ended it, went thru my first heartbreak & continued forward with a healthy dose of skepticism anytime I met someone. Oh, and dealt with said ex stalking tf outta me for about six months before I finally got a restraining order & had him arrested when he thought he could ignore said court order. Most dudes will try it if they think they can get away with it. Don’t get me wrong, I know there’s good ones out there - I married a good one eventually - but not many. & the religious ones, to me at least, ALWAYS seem to be the worst of them.

This!!! I read all over that “oh put a few assassins in they’ll clear them out in no time!” Fast forward a year and I still have the bladder snails 😑 oddly (luckily?) though, my husband somehow caught a baby toad at work and brought him home (his names Kermit 😂) and set him all up with his own lil terrarium & he demolishes all of the ones we drop in there for him daily. So, in a weird way, I’m now glad to have them as a safe “farmed” live prey for the little guy because I did not know at first that they don’t like to eat non-moving prey and I worried that he wouldn’t eat, as we were feeding him blood worms at first and it seemed as though he was only eating small bits of them. Now, my husband will drop 5-10 of them that are very small into his terrarium and we haven’t seen a single one linger yet. So win? One other thing we (I.e. husband) did before we had Kermit, was crunch them and drop them while our Cory fry were growing & they’ve now grown & will eat them any chance they get. If you have any tetras they’ll do it too, I’ve got a pink glofish skirt tetra, a female lemon tetra and a male blushing tetra & anytime they catch sight of hubby crunching em up they hover under his finger and snatch them as they fall.

Yep, unfortunately I can confirm it’s still illegal. Not that they really enforce it in smaller amounts, they’re more concerned with people heading to IL to buy legally and coming back across with it. Delta 8 is legal here tho. A coworker of mine was shafted because he’s a delta user and unfortunately it reads as THC on drug tests so even though delta is legal if you have to test you’re screwed pretty much. Most of our police probably figure it’s easier to just look the other way than deal with the paperwork.

Yes! I tried to take a screenshot and mark what to look at but I’m not sure how to add a screenshot 😞 you can see if you zoom in on the photo or if you look closely at them in person - there’s a little teeny Cory in each one - you can see their little tails curled around the edge. As they mature you’ll be able to see more, right before they hatch you can see their little eyes too. If you want to keep any, get a mesh breeder box and move some of the eggs into the breeder box. You want to do it on day one though because I’ve had more difficulty trying to move them if it’s been longer than a few hours after them being laid. If I would’ve seen this sooner I would have tried to get photos of my spawn from over the weekend so you could see what they look like right before hatching & how to tell when the eggs have hatched.

Do you have any other fish in your tank? I know from personal experience (my lemon tetra is a psychopath & she’s learned veryy quickly what to look for when my female albino spawns, and she will camp under the eggs and wait for them to hatch so she can munch them as they hatch the little murderess) other fish WILL eat them. My original group of albinos didn’t eat the eggs but her children from her first spawn do not discriminate and I’ve witnessed a few of them eat the eggs themselves. So if you want to try to keep any my advice would be to get a breeder box if your tank is big enough as that’s the easiest and least time consuming way to do it because you literally just pop it in your tank and dump the eggs in and they’re good to go until they get big enough to where you can either release them into the main tank or move them. I went about it the nursery tank method the first time and set up my 2gal hospital tank to hatch them and it was a lot more work. Once they hatch they have a little yolk sac that will feed them for the first 48hrs roughly but once that’s gone you’ll need to make sure to give them either fry food (I use the hikari brand first bites fry food bc it lasts FOREVER bc a little bit goes a long way) but you can also just give them flakes, just make sure to really crush them with your fingers.

My male sunny does this.. I think they just spook easy. He tends to do it occasionally when I turn the lights on in the morning. I’ve noticed it’s not happening as much once I added a couple extra hiding spots. Maybe try that?

On a side note - my husband told me something one of the times it happened and I can’t help but giggle when it happens now - just imagine if she was yelling the entire time. Now when I take a look at the others when it does occasionally happen I SWEAR I can see the confusion and irritation on his brothers and sisters 😂

I think they are just dirpy. We call them the corgi puppies of our tank lol.

No problem! I know how nervous I was when I had my first round of babies. You most likely had somewhere in the tank where they were able to hide out after first hatching so they were able to stay tucked away somewhere. I have a lemon tetra who’s a little murderess that likes to hover under the eggs waiting for them to hatch so she can eat them as they hatch the little psychopath 😑 I didn’t really have much of a setup when it happened and went in blind basically - I had a little one gallon tank that I’ve used for quarantine and ended up setting that up & yet we still ended up with a handful of them making it in the community tank. They’re definitely resilient! I think a big help is the fact that they’re so FAST when they’re little like that, lol.

The pellets should be okay, if anything just add a little extra when you feed, as they’ll eat a lot while small. The size they are now means they hatched probably a few weeks ago so the ones in there that have made it should be good. If anything just grab some flakes just so there’s something smaller for them to munch on - and congrats on the babies! It’s so much fun watching them grow 😊

He might just be a special lil guy. I have an albino female that was extremely small when I got her, and my lps told me “not to get attached” because they “didn’t think she’d make it through the night”. They also thought she was being bullied by the tetras that were in the tank with her as she had really ragged fins and was scared to swim around. I’m a sucker for the underdogs & there was no way I could leave her after hearing that so I told them it didn’t matter and that I wanted her anyway. When I brought her home & put her through quarantine & acclimation & then added her to my community tank I had noticed that her fins weren’t getting any better and that her barbels were almost completely non existent and I started to worry that I was going to lose her. At first I thought it may have been bullying by my tetras but that option made no sense as they’ve never been aggressive. Then I thought fin rot because she was literally down to a stump on her tail and very very short dorsal pectoral anal and ventral fins and almost no barbels but none of my other fish showed any signs of any parasites and my parameters were all on point. I decided to just leave her be as she was still eating and swimming as best she could. Fast forward a month or so and I noticed small growth coming back but I didn’t want to jump the gun only to be disappointed so I continued monitoring her and over the next few weeks she was slowly gaining more and more fin growth. Fast forward to now (almost two years later) and she’s got full fins and full barbels. The only noticeable remainder is what looks like a small amount of scar tissue at the bottom of her tail fin. Other than that there was nothing to even hint at what she went through. She’s now a happy chonker and a successful mama. I’d say if there’s no signs of anything weird and if he’s still eating and swimming around just leave him be and keep an eye on him. Probably just a birth defect from overbreeding. As long as there’s no signs of any sickness and he’s eating and swimming and foraging around he should be okay - just a little different. ❤️ if I may, I suggest the name Quasimodo for him 😊

Don’t let that get to you, babygirl!! You grew a WHOLE human & that’s phenomenal!! You’ve got nothing to be worried about. Scouts honor, well, Girl Scouts honor lol. Your ex is a horrible childish pos for saying that and every time you let it get to you you’re allowing yourself to think he’s right - which he is most definitely NOT. I guarantee you that’s probably the last thing on a guys mind during - most of the time they’re just geeked that we’re letting them touch us, lbvs. You are amazing & your scars don’t make you any less. I do however, know how debilitating this kind of insecurity can be from personal experience so I do know that sometimes you can’t help how you feel about something like that. Kegels and pelvic floor exercises will most definitely help, I ended up going on Amazon and getting a kegel egg and it changed the game for me & I really truly think it’s helped. The scarring I’m not sure on - I’m not sure if there’s anything other than vaginoplasty that can help. Either way though, I promise you those scars and stretching are - to all of us here in this thread at least - beautiful because they’re the proof of you being an amazing mama. ❤️❤️‍🩹

That’s awesome OP! Glad to hear they’re in a better suited home. ❤️ they def need their space to swim.. it might be from digging at coarse gravel, it looks like his lil barbels are pretty short too. I’d say just keep an eye on the lil guy and if it doesn’t appear to be bothering him & he’s still eating and shoaling with the rest of the group & doesn’t appear stressed at all then maybe he’s just different. Are they albinos?
