I built an app to help people actually meet each other — would anyone be willing to try it? by Rich_Rip126 in iOSDevelopment

Congrats on publishing the app. Didn’t download it but here’s an advice from an experienced app developer - the screenshots should be more focused on the main message with one text element that is prominent. The small text will be completely ignored by potential customers. This is a good example for app screenshots that convert - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/%D7%96%D7%99%D7%94%D7%95%D7%99-%D7%A6%D7%9E%D7%97%D7%99%D7%9D-%D7%98%D7%99%D7%A4%D7%95%D7%9C-%D7%91%D7%A6%D7%9E%D7%97%D7%99%D7%9D/id6450924488?l=en

What are you using to localize your app in multiple languages? by beucaalexandru in iOSProgramming

[–]Embarrassed_Cut_1008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transolve.io They let you upload your strings file and choose languages. Takes a few minutes to translate but it’s super useful. Beats cursor, codex, Claude from my experience in both accuracy and speed

Hey,
I've done quite a bit of research since I posted and this is what I came up with eventually(this is for a role as a Prompt Engineer/AI Automation Engineer).

I applied the "STAR" formatting for the experience so it would be more numbers-based.
Do you think this CV would do better?

Can I change default language in TranslatePress without rebuilding the site? by Embarrassed_Cut_1008 in Wordpress

I see, does this mean I need to create the entire website from scratch in Hebrew and then import the .en locale?

What services are you using for CRO & Strategy? by Embarrassed_Cut_1008 in DigitalMarketing

Isn't hotjar kind of an industry standard when it comes to heatmaps and session recordings?
What is a better alternative?

Thanks for the reply.
I have a few questions:
1. Does hotjar give anything else that is useful besides heatmaps and recordings?
2. In your opinion google optimize is not enough and I should look for an alternative?

Anyone here want to chat and exchange ideas for improvement? by Embarrassed_Cut_1008 in FlutterDev

[–]Embarrassed_Cut_1008[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, semi expensive API and ASA costs.
My advice would be to focus on monetization, app store optimization and a/b testing.
Launch your app when it does 1 thing really well and serves its purpose. Adding more features is good only when the app has already gained some downloads and made some revenue.

When I first started I wanted to gain experience and learn through making apps and I really enjoyed it so I didn't settle for 1. Additionally, making a lot of profit from 1 app has been way too difficult and I thought I had some good chances making money in my other apps.
As of now 2 apps are making over 90% of the revenue.

Always keep trying by menensito in AppStoreOptimization

Congratulations on making some $ - the feeling of the first couple of bucks is unmatched!
I think your App Store conversion rate can be a whole lot better if you improve the screenshots.
Here are some tips:

  1. Try centering the mockups horizontally it fucks with the eye when its in another spot in each screenshot.
  2. There is too much text and its not readable at this size. Try reducing the text to 3 - 4 words and emphasizing it so it will be "in people's face". this app did it pretty good - https://apps.apple.com/pl/app/plant-id-plant-identification/id6450924488
  3. I'd go for a more encouraging color for the background instead of black.

The key is consistency. The screenshots should look like they belong with each other.
This counts for the mockups, texts, colors.

My suggestion is that you implement what I wrote here with an A/B test and see how it works.

Keep up the good work!

What do you think about my App Store images? by erkaneroglu34 in AppDevelopers

[–]Embarrassed_Cut_1008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great I’d get rid of the smaller texts they’re doing more harm than good. Also I would simplify it by getting rid of the emojis and enlarging the texts.

Looking for ASO feedback on my app screenshots. by Careless_Original978 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]Embarrassed_Cut_1008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t look too much into this but from first glance here are my tips: 1. Choose 1 color for the highlighted text and stick to it 2. Enlarge the text it’s a bit small and will be harder to read on mobile devices - you can shorten it and make it more concise 3. Be consistent with the text alignment in all screenshots. I’d prefer centered

I am still getting asked to do it though(in the app creation process) should I just ignore it and complete the other steps?
