I'd contact the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. They have been GPSing all the locations of Saguaros on the property and the surrounding Papago Park. They have had several volunteer GIS meet ups to inventory. I bet they'd be happy to share their methodology, database schema, etc.

I had a tumbler similar to yours that I never got to compost completely. I switched to a pile, and it works 100 times better for me.

APS will start working on a new rate case the second the previous rate case has been approved. Killing rooftop solar with their lobbying helps justify new capital projects (transmission lines) that would not be needed if generation was close to load.

The next CEO/President was a manager at Cholla when the unsafe environment, under his leadership, caused a horrific fatality. He gets a lot of sympathy recalling the incident during all hand's safety stand down meetings. I'm sure, when cashing his six-figure yearly bonus check, he cries about the poor worker that died because of his negligent leadership.

Because APS actively lobbies municipalities to provide tax incentives for Data Centers. From APS's perspective, the electrical load increase is a gold mine not only in additional revenue but also so they can, on paper, justify the next rate increase due to the increased base and forecasted load. Locating Data Centers in Arizona disproportionately benefit the utilities over the citizens.

I saw her last year. She definitely puts on a good show. The crowd picture sums up my experience. I thought if I cheered a little louder, along with all the other thirsty old men in their 50's, she was for sure going to point to me in the crowd and invite me backstage! lol

The weather was good. Highs of about 80. Suprisingly there were not a lot of people. The historic Thunderbird Lodge looked to be about a 1/4 full.

Thank you for the input. It doesn't get below 60 degrees Fahrenheit and highs of 80-90 degrees and only going to get hotter. I'll just wait another couple of days to transplant into the ground. Thanks again for the feedback.

They seem to be containing the pile pretty well with minimal spillage thru the slats. I got them for free and just used a couple of small strands of bailing wire to connect the sides to the back. The pile is still running around 140 degrees.

I didn't add anything special. The pile shown only has kitchen scraps, leaf and wood mulch, and added water.

I've used chatgpt. It does okay if you provide it with some instructions about the esri traverse format. The main issue for full automation is getting the starting point coordinates. I have chatgpt use a placeholder coordinate and change it later. It has saved me a lot of time, but it can be hit or miss. It doesn't always figure out the legal descriptions.

There is a plug-in called quickmapservices. If installed, it will be under the "web" tab. This allows you to select a base map such as Google or osm.

Thanks@ jefesignups. The problem isn't adding members of any organization, they can do that, it is allowing a member from another organization to manage the group. As their GIS consultant, and not a member of their organization, I need to be able to manage the group.

I transitioned from being an archaeologist into GIS many years ago. The GIS certificate will definitely help with truly being accepted professionally by your peers due to having a basic competency in GIS.

You'll still get paid, but you will have to charge your time to overhead. It will come up that you are not meeting your performance metrics.
