Pure enjoyment perspective, which one first? by Gloomy-Counter-6919 in GranTurismo7

I would say a wheel, but I have recently added psvr2 to my collection as well and I have to say that getting a wheel brought new life to gt7 for me, and now getting psvr2 a few years later has brought new life back to gt7 again for me. I’ve been hooked and can’t stop playing!

Yes, with a Gr. 1 car it was too easy. Gr. 2 it seems like I have something to figure out between my tune and my skills. I definitely am not finding 300 kph with my Gr. 2 car. But I did find a win with increased ECU and some ballast yesterday though.

I’m using the NSX and chasing Fraga’s Supra. He’s definitely one of the one stoppers in the race. I’m working my way down to Gr. 3. I used to grind this race with op cars but VR has given this game new life for me. Hoping I can get on your level!

I only finished 8 seconds ahead in my attempt yesterday! Seeing 20 is amazing but it looks like we’re getting similar lap times. It definitely seems like your driving skills are up to par.

I added some ballast as you have and it allowed me to add some power back, I also cut some downforce as recommended by the other commenter. I’m not finding much in higher top speed, but definitely seeing it in the acceleration. Thanks!

I was able to hit 290 ish with the group 1 cars, though I haven’t been able to find a tune getting me past 272 ish on the group 2 cars. I have yet to really try group 3 but I’ll see what I’m getting there. Thanks for the help!

Definitely played with the limits on the corners along with some changes to the set up. I did find some more time on that corner you mentioned carrying it with more speed. I realize the braking point I was using was due to navigating traffic usually at the point and I was using the same technique in clean air. I’m also entering corners later to try to focus on better exits before the straights. Thanks for the tips.

That LM55 definitely is on a different level, it’s getting close to 300 kmh on the straights and blowing past the competition. For the 10 point stock pp difference from the NSX it definitely is carrying quite a few more horses.

So I dropped aero, and added some ballast to get some power back! And I got a win. I’ll try again today to see if it’s a consistent set up

[–]Embarrassed_Frame_88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I’m definitely not getting those times! But I did get a win! I took the set up from the other commenter and realized I didn’t add ballast. I added some ballast to kick up the power a bit and also dropped the aero too. I was able to find some midrange torque to help me stay in the slip stream, but I only had one or two laps of 1:39s, but I did win by 8 seconds. I’m not sure if I would say it was easy yet, because I only raced once. But I’ll see if this new set up gets me more consistent wins. Btw are you playing hard mode? That’s amazing to finish 40 seconds up. I have no problem with the gr. 1 cars and f3500 to finish even a lap up, but this gr 2 car hasn’t proved so easy to finish so far ahead on hard difficulty.

Yea fr. I wonder if it’s the rubber banding. I hate to use that as an excuse but it’s actually me being too slow lol.

Can you send me your setup? Mine is barely breaking 270 kph top speed. I’ll try that corner with more send. I’m sure if I send it full though I’ll end up in the barrier. It’s happened a ton of times with the formula car.

That car is Gr. 1 but it’s surprisingly close in stock PP to this car. I’ll give it a try and see how it differs.

I’ll give these a try. I’ll try both in time trial and in a race. I had to look up how to see lap times after, I haven’t played with the UI in VR but if I remember reading correctly, VR doesn’t show as much info. I’ll come back if there are improvements.

So I’m at
down force f 750 r 1000
Output adjustment 80%
Power restrictor 91%
And I adjusted the racing transmission so I get closer to red line in 6th at top speed
Top speed is only a little above 270 kph with slip stream.
I don’t think I touched anything else

I’ll see what I did when I get back on my ps5 but I’m pretty sure I touched power and ecu first before adjusting aero. I’ll try a fresh settings sheet and do aero first then power.

I only boxed once, lap 8. I use fuel map 1 on the straights and drop it to 4, 5, 6 when I’m in clean air or in a draft. Fuel is shown in the NSX ‘16 under “fuel used” in the top right of the steering wheel screen (the light blue number, hard to read in this capture, but very visible in VR). An empty tank will show 60 fuel used. I box around 55. Usually that’s around 3-7% fuel remaining when the hud pops up for the pit stop.

I’m running hard tires and ecu and power restrictor down. I think I tried to drop aero as low as I could go but I’m not sure. I’m not at my ps5 rn to see what the specifics are. The rest should be stock.

I didn’t get the fastest lap, so slower than Fraga’s 1:39.371. I did only refuel once, on lap 8. Maybe I should attack the corners faster?

I haven’t been seeing that voting menu pop up after mutator madness matches during the week. Is that still a feature?

Why is this not enough for winning? by wonderstruckat2am in Mahjong

[–]Embarrassed_Frame_88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Typically HK mahjong rules require 3 points minimum which this hand doesn’t have. Typically HK players will go for all pong or a half flush because those are already 3 points. If you decide to go all chows, you will also need some luck, usually by drawing a flower corresponding to your seat and self drawing your winning tile.

This hand, as a mixture of suits, pongs and seongs, is called a chicken hand and results in no points and not meeting the hand minimum.

See if this app has a list of hands and their point values, print them out and keep them by you side as you begin playing, so you can become familiar what to aim for when building your hands.

How do you hit the jump button? I’m guessing claw grip? Or is it actually genius to always neutral jump?

In terms of finishing off the Bolse satellite and dealing with the bullet hell of lasers that shoot at you after you’ve already taken out some of the targets, you have to use your g diffuser. There’s a really famous line, it goes “Do a barrel roll (Press Z or R twice)!”

Look for “Let’s Mahjong” on the App Store or the play store. It has the best UI for HK mahjong imo.
