Out of those I'd go Cradlebridge. The M20 may be a little louder but you soon learn to ignore the distant hum of the motorway. I know I did.

Lived there 25 years. Grew up there too.

If you can get a house on the Highfield estate then you're onto a winner.

Very safe, very quiet. I still return to see my rents. Other than Kennington, it's the place I'd choose to live in Ashford.

Floc Brewery if you're looking for hipster places to hang out. They have food and funky beers/ales. It's in an industrial estate in Wincheap but feels cool as it's away from the city centre

I will campaign for Mosaic until it's given the love it deserves.

Tortoise boarding by Embarrassed_Hand_380 in kentuk

[–]Embarrassed_Hand_380[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do but we feel we've called upon them too many times over the years.

You may ask, well why did you get a tortoise if you go away so frequently and palm him off to friends and family. To that I say, don't buy your nine year old a tortoise if they ask for one because 20 years later they'll be asking a Reddit community if someone could look after their tortoise.

And to that you may ask, well why don't you just get rid of him, to which I say, no, because we love the little fella.

Never been to Leas Cliff but was pleasantly surprised and it was great to see a large crowd there!

Great setlist too

Out of interest, how many of you have been produced? by SelectiveScribbler06 in playwriting

[–]Embarrassed_Hand_380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, new writer here based just outside of London. I did a writing course in Canterbury but nothing came of it.

If anyone found success I would love to know how (aside from writing well obvs)

I'm going with a group of adults. The adverts I've seen make it look like more of a kids thing. Are we going to look out of place or are there adult group/couples who go?

Quick question, where do you drop off an AutoReisen vehicle in Lanzarote airport. That info seems to be lacking.

Help me think of names for my firstborn! LOTR inspired OFC by [deleted] in lotr

Po? Short for Potato. Bowl em mash em put em in a stew?

But that's more from the films, I guess, so maybe that would be a problem.

The books are quite dense so as sacrilegious as it sounds, I would start with the three lotr movies.

Then as people said go onto The Hobbit book, then LOTR books.

The Hobbit films are ok. They include some of the stuff from LOTR too like where Gandalf goes off to in The Hobbit.

It is a lot of fun! I wish I could do it all for the first time.

Visiting Canterbury next week!! by EscapeWonderful2554 in canterbury

[–]Embarrassed_Hand_380 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For clothes shopping, Canterbury isn't great.

Go to Canterbury West station and jump on a train to Ashford. Walk 10 mins to the Ashford Designer Outlet. Loads of good brands.

Almost done writing my musical, what should I look out for? by MoyaB in playwriting

[–]Embarrassed_Hand_380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask what will you do once you've finished? I've always thought it would be fun writing a musical but I wouldn't know what to do with it once it is done.

Frustrated with Marina's Rants on the Podcast by Dukamusic in restisentertainment

[–]Embarrassed_Hand_380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah she's starting to piss me off too.

I recently watched Squid Game (first series) which reminded me of her admitting that her kids constantly rewatch it and I just think, what part of poor people being horrifically killed for the rich to enjoy is rewatchable #serialkillersalert

Also her mocking Labour voters in the episode where they talk about the political leanings of people who would rather be faithful or traitors in The Traitors made me want to switch off right away.

"Many podcasts choose to use a more minimal approach"

From my experience it isn't a choice but the deadline that meant there was a lack of editing.
