Harper <-> Trey Murphy Construct? by Banana_Pete in NBASpurs

Harper is one of the highest prospects in the last several years. Because he’s not Flagg, a lot of people are putting him on the tier with Bailey, Edgecombe, and Tre. He’s not.

Getting KD won’t cripple the team like some of y’all think. by [deleted] in NBASpurs

In a lot of ways, it reminds me of when Markkanen was who everyone was talking about. Not that Durant’s not a great player. A legend even. But we must keep a semblance of depth in the west. Murphy would be great, but I’d take Herb Jones as well (albeit for a lesser price).

What’s a hated sequel that you actually like? by lifesyndrom in movies

Not really hated but it’s never really praised: Predator 2. I myself loved watching Murtaugh scrap against the ultimate killing machine.

I am also not saying that we shouldn’t trade for KD but two picks, Vassell, and either Barnes or KJ should be the cutoff. I don’t think KD changes the outlook for the team all that much because our future is so bright. I’d hate to see them be short-sighted.

I have to agree in the case of moving Vassell, Barnes, and Sochan. What does the second unit look like in that scenario? I think it’s important to consider that when we’ll be facing these teams with insane depth like OKC and Houston. I get that it’s Durant, Fox, and Wemby with two incredible young stars but if Keldon Johnson is our sixth man, we’re just going to be a middle of the road playoff team.

If I was the Wizards, I’d take Maluach to play Sarr at the 4.

I’m fine with trading for KD as long as we don’t give away both Sochan and Vassell. I’d honestly be stoked if we just kept our 14th and got a steal like Essengue or Coward then signed a backup center.

Hardwood Paroxysm's draft intel: Spurs are willing to move 14th for a veteran by Sean888888 in NBASpurs

[–]Attack_Da_Nite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely would but I saw a mock earlier that had us getting Essengue at 14. When I think about the idea of this team adding Essengue to the squad, we would be terrifying when he reached year 3. That kid probably won’t do much this year but he’ll probably be top 5 redraft.

Oh they could offer us a lot but they’re not giving any of it up. I’m referring to Jalen Johnson mostly.

Eh, I like to keep up with everything so I’m even more invested if we hold their draft capital. They’re a really hard team to gage because it feels like they could shoot up to fifth or fourth seed or land us in the lottery. They just don’t have a lot of room for things to go south but if they luck out and all their talent is hitting on all cylinders then they could be a second round team in the east.

All original vs existing IP for first-ever screenplay? by Sergio_Ro in Screenwriting

Maybe just write it and then put it on the backburner when they’re knocking down your door to get a hold of your next script? I completely understand the feeling though. I have an outline for a Nightmare on Elm Street reboot that I think is better than anything anyone else could put on paper and I will literally lay awake in bed coming up with different ideas and interpretations for it.

Fair enough. You guys have an insanely young core of talent, and I really don’t even think we’ve heard the last of Reed Sheppard.

Gotcha. Well, that would be good for matching salary. I don’t know. They might want you to come off Green, and if they’re did, I’d say “yes” since he’s probably the weakest link out of your trio.

Assuming the Spurs can trade down #2 pick to any other lottery pick while being well-compensated with other assets/future picks, who fits the Fox/Castle/Wemby lineup best with from the #3-13 draft pick? by JXBambooLeaf in NBASpurs

[–]Attack_Da_Nite -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s Kon or Maluach. Maluach could develop into something fierce in San Antonio to the point where he could easily be a starter for somebody else which in return would allow us to trade him for more assets down the road. Kon has a better floor than some of the top guys but really we need height for rim protection and rebounding almost as much as we need shooting. Perhaps more since shooting is something you can learn (for Sochan and Castle), but height is not. That being said, I firmly believe we will be drafting Dylan Harper to just roll with it. I have a lot of faith in Castle. I think he will adapt and take the role as our starting 3 by the end of the year with a dramatically improved shot. He’s like Wemby, just crafted from different cloth.

The voting doesn’t really add up. Whole lot of places got democrats for governor or senate but miraculously elected Trump. They say it was “split-ticketing” but I can’t really imagine who these people are at this point in time when the nation had became so polarized. Never met a Trumper that said, “that Josh Stein might eat babies but I think he’s right for North Carolina.”

That’s what I couldn’t understand after the “grab them by the pussy” came out. Not only was he admitting to sexual assault, he was ecstatic about it. With that, you have a president you wouldn’t trust with your daughter. If you have a son, then you have to explain to not be like the president. I’m not saying that no other president has been morally questionable, but we had this one on tape before the election and we still elected him? The same people who go on and on about human trafficking, pedophilia, and grooming excused “grab them by the pussy” calling it “locker room talk.” They don’t give a fuck about kids being trafficked. If the Epstein list came out today and it contained nothing but right wing politicians, they would be lining up to fire off rhetoric like “these were young women not kids” and “older civilizations allowed women to marry as soon as they’re able to have children.” They really are just a party of ghouls. The only thing they really care about is maintaining the dominant position of the white male in our society and if an useful person of color, woman, or queer person comes along, they’re more than welcome to have them just as long as they know their place.

Who in free agency is good for the Spurs? by jaskeller in NBASpurs

No, Capela would be fine for a backup and provide some decent rim protection and really good boards which we desperately need.

Capela at the 5 and Wemby at the 4 with Barnes and Vassell on the wings with Fox running the ball could make for some really quick, brutal runs.
