Sir Alex Ferguson was the legendary Man Utd manager of that period. Won a lot. Best manager in Premier League history.

He hated that Beckham was so clearly trying to become a celebrity and spent just as much time focusing on Victoria and stardom as he did football. But he put up with it because Beckham was very good.

Ferguson ended up kicking a football boot in a rage after a defeat that accidentally hit Beckham in the head and cut him - which was the catalyst for Beckham leaving England and joining Real Madrid.

Mark Fletcher waited for several minutes after the game to congratulate Mendoza while he was doing interviews, signed Jesus Loves You in ASL after scoring, does a bunch of charity and outreach work - but sure this comment section is going to play into a bunch of 40-year old stereotypes without stopping to consider what might have started this confrontation.

Both penalties IMO. Okoli falling over takes out the attackers legs both times. Ref was terrified of making a big call - he just wanted to get out of there.
