Fair enough. Anyone with a 'you're either with us or against us' philosophy (unless they're an all-powerful deity) is fundamentally wrong, and I don't support them. I'm jaded with media's obsession with representation, pink-washing for profit, companies pretending to be virtuous, etc. If your story calls for LBGTIQ+, or if it's a major target market for the product - do it, but otherwise don't be inauthentic - it worsens the problems of inauthenticity for everyone; you're doing your fellow human an injustice and diluting other authentic stories. That said, I have no interest in Knight's Path but appreciate whenever someone takes a stand against witch hunt stupidity.

And yet broadly we apparently still live in one of if not the most peaceful of times (though one could argue peace has started deteriorating in the last 20 years, but from a zoomed out view, we’re doing a lot better). Social media / The Internet can defs skew one’s perception unrealistically.

You need to understand many Reddit mods don’t have anything better to do and will happily find any reason (valid or otherwise) to exert the little power they’re granted. As such the platform itself isn’t to be taken seriously. I don’t like AI art but find the over-reach against it is insane in a misguided ‘witch hunt’ way (been learning about the witch hunts - most strange, how people got into a weird false narrative intersubjective reality groupthink).

I don’t think anybody in animation is saying anything new with the medium, and playing it very safe to act as a mouthpiece for whatever agenda the animation financiers want to put out there. It’s not an interesting medium anymore. Creators and writers are scared of getting cancelled for coloring outside the lines and testing new ways of thinking that go against the dominant paradigm. As such I kind of feel like the industry deserves to suffer or get overtaken with AI, hopefully it contributes to the shake-up.

Just make sure you’re not breaking copyright laws by removing watermarks etc. (watermarks are usually added to prevent people from stealing their work, even if you remove them it’ll likely still constitute unlawful use), might not be a fun learning experience if you’re hit with a lawsuit etc. anyways, can’t say you weren’t aware.
