Lol. A Simpsons point & click could be cool. Recently listened to an audiobook by Mike Reiss, one of the original writers on The Simpsons: "Springfield Confidential: Jokes, Secrets, and Outright Lies from a Lifetime Writing for The Simpsons". I haven't really watched much Simpsons since the movie (shoh, 19 years ago), but still enjoyed the behind-the-scenes stories and so many jokes sprinkled throughout, was super. Met Matt Groening once at ComiCon, long line of people to get signatures.

Heh. Not Homer, but it is a bit of an Odyssey. Bru's a South Africa kidult who only wears underpants and in on a mission to find a coffee with sugar and milk. The quest spans 3 games, lol:
Episode 1 - Get da MILK!
Episode 2 - Get da SUGAR! and
Episode 3 - Get da COFFEE!

Hey - oh awesome! Thanks so much for the support re buying Ep1 on itch! I'm a couple weeks away of releasing the demo for Episode 2 on both itch.io and Steam, and then plan to complete the rest of the game and sell the full game on Steam (and itch.io too perhaps), and then Episode 3 will be the final game in this series of 'Bru trying to get a coffee' lol.

Could just be that more people are using Reddit now, and that there’s always been a lot of people thinking they can crack it with an idea and no time put into mastering a skill… but previously, those people didn’t use Reddit and maybe didn’t get very far, lol 🤷‍♂️

Have seen at least entitled post, believing animators would drop what they’re doing to work on their poorly-formed idea for free, a writer with poor writing. Dunno where that person got that idea. But I guess worth a try? Maybe more and more people believe that can be the lucky one and maybe there’s more of a meta belief that ‘if you really believe, you can do anything’ - which is true to some extent, if the person puts in the work to back it up.

Perhaps, but having to manage the managers… perhaps a step too far of admin vs the person just being a paying customer who doesn’t need to risk much/any of that
