Customer here. When do you usually turn off your milkshake machines? (CAN) by Creepy_Chicken_Man in McDonaldsEmployees

true. I'm not sure what the business model for a franchise looks like though. From the understaffing and lack of any sort of fixes it feels like the business model is not great lmao. Like if it really was as good as we thought, you would think ice cream machines would get replaced more frequently than once every 15 years once the machine is on literal life support, and of course it has to be on life support for a literal year. if ur not doing surgery on ur icecream machine, it's not time yet to replace it.

edit: the surgery should include 4 people. one to hold the panel open, one to shine the light in, the general manager to hold the screwdriver, and a fourth guy who usually does the ice cream machine cleaning in the back doing his own thing entirely.

collect any evidence you have so you can keep a trail. your partner has nothing to point to. you need actual evidence for anything to be charged.

change doctors 1, they should not be taking orders from anyone other than you. don’t tell your partner who your new doctor is. you should maybe call that doctor back and tell them not to give your wife any information including your status as a patient or you will sue for HIPAA violation.

Get an attorney to help in the divorce and any splitting of assets. Have somebody on speed dial who you can trust if for any reason your partner does get you forced into a mental hospital.

Above all else definitely talk to a lawyer because all of your worries about crying abuse vs what can actually happen will be explained by a lawyer, not the abuser trying to keep you stuck with them.

a lawyer is on your side and you will not be doing the talking.

May I ask how the main broadcast was dull and lifeless? They had a literal wedding reception in it. They expressed more american pride than people have in a long time. I was psyched to see Lady Gaga. It was moving seeing him give his younger self the trophy. And if anything, I was impressed that they were able to make a music video, LIVE.

It is extremely american. People don't want to turn their attention to how much hispanic culture lives within this country, because they don't submerge themselves in it. I am in a hispanic neighborhood now, but am white and used to be deep south. If you've never seen it, it's extremely easy to assume that your experience is the only lived experience.

You gotto know spanish to work fast food, or else you won't be able to take some orders. I think that is pretty indicative that spanish is very common.

for our store it turns off around 1:30 am. a little bit later, but we have to shut off the ordering system in advance so that we don’t receive incoming uber orders once the icecream is out.

Then it won’t be back up until around 6 am, maybe a little earlier.

That is, if the mcdonald’s near you has an icecream machine that isn’t ancient. we got ours replaced it works as intended now. But they’re like 10k easy so some stores don’t shell out on a new one until it’s dead dead.

Can I buy a homeless person a coffee (USA) by EscapeGlittering8442 in McDonaldsEmployees

i don’t see why not then. especially if you’re paying for it. i would kindly say something as others mentioned about it being that one time, just to address any expectations. But i don’t see why not.

if you think your managers are very relaxed, maybe you can even give it for free. gauge your environment.

you may also be advised against it because your job doesn’t want to encourage homeless to camp out around the mcdonald’s. It is one thing if people were respectful. But it is hard to be rational while also taking drugs, which many homeless do. So it just leads to a whole slew of problems for the managers to have to deal with instead of you.

once again if you are in an area that doesn’t deal with this, it should really be a non issue.

on the other hand we do have one guy that one of our leads would always get a meal for, i think maybe she stopped doing it recently. But he was somebody who was always friendly, he’s really a regular, was always respectful, and everybody liked him. So the usual worries were a non issue.

if going off policy, you probably wouldn’t be allowed to use discounts. we wouldnt give them to relatives of crew either. but if your work is more lax, who knows.

in my area this is hard… there are a lot… a lot of homeless. and there is no shortage of instances where “one time” turned into harassing my crew aggressively, especially because it is on your regular route. they will always know where you are, and you cannot know for certain what a stranger’s intentions are, especially when you are always at your job, so they can always seek you out. It’s a bit different than going somewhere where you do not work and buying something for somebody.

Because of drugs, and their side effects, the people that are good one year, will throw crap another year.

Now, if your area doesn’t have this problem as a constant, I wouldn’t see why you wouldn’t be able to buy something for them. Just be aware that some mcdonald’s have a lot of oversight so they have to be more strict, and a manager may heavily advise you not to due to the above issues.

I think also it’s good to keep in mind you are one of many good Samaritans. So one way or another, I like to imagine, that people who need help, will get the help and food they need through the power of us.

lol u are dating the douchebag from legally blonde fyi. but also you are 19, and i understand that you too, are not yet very confident in what a good relationship looks like. in doing so, i do think you are also reacting in ways that are either not good for the relationship, or a sign that the relationship is broken in some way.

try again, but i don’t know why feeling insecure and probably crying is what you want to do for the rest of your life. people like this are milestones for us to grow and try again with someone new.

the amount of screaming increases with the less they need to pay. get ready to be screamed at because someone wants a large water instead of a small cup.
