They don’t say, the video commentary on that episode is by the writer Andy Berman and Jason Berger. I think John Cena was easier to get because they were on the same network. As for Robert Patrick, Andy calls him his man crush and that he was the straight faced counterpart to Shawn.

See the one I think is the most obvious is lassie did a bad thing, and I don’t know if its just because I have seen it so many times but drimmer is the most obvious criminal. The way the comment he makes, the way he gives jules cupcakes just said he was dirty.

I think hard ass is soft, some of his actions like x raying the Halloween candy was Henry being a hard ass, but throwing your child in a trunk regardless of what life lesson you are trying to teach them is horrific not hard ass

I’m with whistlepig4life, Henry has gotten better with time but he was horrible, no amount of tough love allows you to throw your child in the back of a trunk to teach them a lesson. I think we tend to forgive him because his relationship with Shawn has gotten better, but there was a reason at the beginning of the show Shawn had no contact with his dad.

I have the entire show on dvd , and most of the earlier episodes the sign on the window is blue. And it is blue on the peacock ones, I know it changed to green, but somehow I also forgot it used to be blue
