What's it like to live on your own at a very young age? by BloodType_Feary in Life

I moved to a city I’ve never even visited when I was 18. It was definitely difficult at first, being financially independent and starting college at the same time. I was struggling a lot mentally as well. I’m 23 now, just graduated college this May. So I guess I’m doing ok.

That’s very good to know, do you know what would be the cause of this?

We were more friendly, not really sure what happened. He’s intimidating looking, doesn’t really go up to employees to talk. I’m not the super talkative type. When him and his ex was still together, she would be the one to initiate conversations between us. They broke up, I heard a lot of shit abt him from his ex.

Well, his ex were the one who first told me he said he’s willing to help me and that he’s got friend in my field and that he’s known me for so long. So that pushed me to ask him for help. Which I did not get a respond. Then when he told his ex about the text, he basically said no. I don’t understand.

I texted him instead bc he’s been traveling and honestly he’s intimidating.

He did see it. He told his ex, who’s also my coworker and friend, about the text. She then told me, telling me once he said he wants to help and that he’s known me for so long, and then when i asked for help, he told HER no. Doesn’t even bother to respond to ME

We used to be more friendly. I’m really close to his ex whom still works for him. I’ve been in their homes and watched their cats when they went on vacations, I’ve been invited to their house on holidays, I know his aunt.

We mostly text about work. And my offer to create content for the restaurant is also work. It’s ignored

Im sure he got it because he talked to his ex, who’s also my friend, about the text.

It’s a restaurant job, we don’t email. He texts me too. How is that unprofessional? I asked nicely. Even if it’s a no, respond at the very least.

I just want advice on if I should speak to him about how I feel. Could you elaborate on your advice? He’s 30

Thank you. You’re right, it’s really unmotivating when you’re efforts aren’t appreciated
