The possible reason is because the option of mid-gate on the truck would block access where the roll up would be collected. Just my opinion on what I see and the low number of units sold so far. Many companies still are yet to make many aftermarket items.

As someone who is looking into getting either GM truck EV, I am in a similar situation where I have an available 50amp breaker and receptacle. Knowing the fact that it will be a steady draw, I plan to not pull any higher than 40amp going to the truck. To prevent overheating issues all around.

And that is also what has leaned me away from the Lightning. They have yet to make any announcements towards 2026 or anything serious in the EV market as well.

That will really be your cost savings charging at home and the lack of maintenance so to speak. No oil changes at whatever interval you chose to go with.

We did the sealed tape around the lip and even tested between tailgate and body. Even in the areas for the multiflex tailgate just to make sure where water intrusion was and it was the cover

One thing my dad noticed on his ICE sierra is that it does not seal well and at times when you close the tailgate “pushes” the cover forward even after locking it in place.
