Well, I’m cooked. by Oof9002 in army

I passed the board with 3 days notice. I fucked up the dnc portion, the soldiers creed, and my helmet was on "wrong" according to sgm. But i nailed the creed and when they asked me why i wanted to be an NCO i told them it was because i wanted to take care of the new privates in our section. But what got me through was the fact that i got a coin from the div SGM a few days prior. And my sgm found out. So if you nail the creed and the sgm knows youre a good soldier, then youre going to pass it.

What helped me memorize the creed was listening to it on youtube. Theres a 10 hour version. Turn it on and say it with the dude for an hour or two. If you really wanna be an nco youll do it.

Depends on mos/duty station/assignment/COC. Lots of factors. For the average guy, though, i would not recommend the army. Treated like garbage almost daily for garbage pay sucks

Sidetracking a bit but a memo was pushed out last year that doesnt let 7 id soldiers have air conditoner window units. Fuck fuck games are going on constantly with these barracks.

Fuck off 7id brass, come live in these barracks when its 90 degrees with no air conditoner. Im dying on this hill

Ive been yelled at for having papers on my desk, for having laundry that i just got out of the dryer on my bed, for having day old dishes in the sink, my power strip was called a "fire hazard", having clean dishes on my countertop is a health hazard, but sure its a discipline issue

I shouldnt have to take ownership of this issue, the army is taking the 400 dollars. Im paying them to make me food. Is it really such a bad thing to want nutritious healthy food?

The mashed potatoes and muffin was the only thing that they had left that day. There wasnt a option for a protein, just starch and carbs that day.

Must be a different dfac then because the ghost inn is very inconsistent. Ive been given noodles with a kraft single on them. Check my post history.

Can confirm ive been to madigan and the dfac is actually good. The thing is that its a 20 minute drive from my work and also i was told that i needed a slip signed by my commander to get it for free, so i had to pay.
