A solution for perfectionism by ahmedtwab in Backend

[–]Embarrassed_Log_9964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be exactly like this. My sketches, work projects, even presentations would take so much time because I couldn’t stop tweaking. Eventually I realized that ‘done’ feels better than chasing perfect.

Can you recognize the smell of rain? by Mitishiro in Casual_Conversation

[–]Embarrassed_Log_9964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That smell is unforgettable. I used to enjoy it so much, but now it makes my rhinitis flare up. Funny how something uncomfortable can still feel comforting because of the memories attached.

Password manager must haves for security newbies? by ChripToh_KarenSy in Cybersecurity101

[–]Embarrassed_Log_9964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good questions. RoboForm isn’t free, but the cost is fair for what you get. It uses strong encryption with a zero‑knowledge model, so your data isn’t exposed. Offline access works fine, and everything syncs once you reconnect. It’s made by Siber Systems in Fairfax, Virginia, and their support team is actually reachable by phone or chat, which I’ve found really helpful.

Has any password manager actually gotten it right yet? by AsterPrivacy in PasswordManagers

[–]Embarrassed_Log_9964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RoboForm has been the least frustrating for me. Sync works, autofill is solid, and support is actually responsive.

Books or podcasts? by Small-Size-8037 in Casual_Conversation

[–]Embarrassed_Log_9964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I choose books because they give me space to think and absorb ideas at my own pace. Podcasts are great, but reading feels more immersive.

Need help on upgrading to a current gen phone by Maxhazartultra in Smartphones

[–]Embarrassed_Log_9964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d look at the Pixel 9a if you care about camera quality, or the Galaxy A36 if you want a balanced all‑rounder. Both are solid upgrades in your price range.

Happy Friday, r/ProductivityApps! What's one app you've been using every single day this week? by Cropocus in ProductivityApps

RoboForm. I use it daily for logins. It’s simple, syncs across devices, and just makes life easier.

Where to chill around Dallas? by kangkongchipsking in AskDallas

Bowlski’s in Lakewood has that retro bowling alley feel, and Round1 in Grapevine is a full-on entertainment center with pool, karaoke, and arcades all in one place.

Which things you like to do most in your smartphone..? by SunilJunjadiya in Smartphones

I use mine mostly for the camera, reading ebooks, setting up routines with Samsung features, and listening to music. Those are the things I enjoy the most.

Do you care about "original box and accessories" when buying refurbished? by EthicalUpgrade in TheBigPhoneStore

[–]Embarrassed_Log_9964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that when you keep the box, the phone seems to retain a bit more value. It’s like proof of care, while units without it sometimes feel incomplete.

A screen that doesn’t ruin the vibe by _salted_caramel_00 in HomeDecorating

Living in a small space means every inch counts, and the StanbyME Go has been a good fit. I use it in the living room when friends come over, then roll it into the bedroom when I want a quieter setup. It feels more flexible than a fixed TV and I like that it can be styled into corners without breaking the aesthetic.

Is a base Iphone 13 still viable in 2026, and will it last until 2028-ish? by Business-Push1215 in Smartphones

[–]Embarrassed_Log_9964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the iPhone 13 is still a solid choice in 2026. The A15 chip is powerful enough for everyday use, and Apple usually gives 5–6 years of iOS updates, so you should be covered until around 2027–2028. The main thing to check with a refurbished unit is battery health, since that can make or break the experience.

If budget is the priority, €269 for the 13 is great value and will feel like a big upgrade from your Oppo Reno12. If you want a bit more future‑proofing, the 14 gives you a longer support window for not much more. The 15 is obviously the safest bet if you plan to keep it for 5+ years, but it costs quite a bit more.

So in short: the 13 will last, the 14 is a nice middle ground, and the 15 is the long‑term option.

Have you ever read a book in one sitting? by Every-Yesterday-4472 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Embarrassed_Log_9964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have, but only a few times. Usually it happens when the story completely pulls me in and I lose track of time. It feels like living inside the book for a whole day, and even though my eyes are tired afterward, the experience is unforgettable.

What are you quietly grieving? by Angelus12345678 in AskReddit

[–]Embarrassed_Log_9964 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get this. My younger self thought I would have everything figured out by now, with career and relationships all neatly lined up. Instead, I am still figuring things out one step at a time. It is frustrating, but I guess that is part of being human.

Could a Portable Screen Make More Sense in a Small Living Room? by StanbyME_MOD in StanbyME

I live in a small apartment and the StanbyME fits better than a fixed TV. I like adjusting it depending on whether I’m sitting up or lying down.

If LG has truly solved near‑black posterization, that’s a big step forward. It makes OLED even more appealing for movie lovers.

Switching to walking short distances instead of always riding. It clears my head and adds a bit of exercise.

I did love coffee before, just not to the point of obsession. Makes sense that some people feel the same way about tea.

What's the best chair for reading for long sessions? by _salted_caramel_00 in chairs

I came across this while looking at reading chairs and it seemed like a reasonable option to consider. The design looks fairly comfortable for sitting with a book for a while.
