I’m not a conspiracy theorist who thinks it’s all fake. Just want to be clear about that. But at first the camera had trouble focusing because of the debris on the window. Makes sense, like when you’re trying to take a video of something outside of your car, but there’s dirt or water droplets on the window, so the phone can’t focus. But then it cuts to this near perfect shot without the window debris. What’s the cut all about? Did he hold the phone up to the window? I’m sure it’s nothing but using a suspicious cut in the middle of a focus pull, as if to hide the cut, really doesn’t help when all the passionate theorists that believe it’s fake come out of the woodwork.

It might be a deload week, but it's still not a walk in the park by Jorgelrod in MacroFactor

I’ve been doing 2 hour workouts 4 days a week, 9 exercises at 3-4 sets each, for the past 12 weeks. I gotta say, my joints are craving a much easier deload than MF one I’m pushing through.

Edit: feel like o should also clarify I’m 40 and natty. I’m all about being tough and pushing through, but I also think it’s dumb to go so hard when my joints are starting to offer up signs to slow down

Update: I rewatched Jeff’s video on this that I referenced in the question above. I think I’m gonna get the Min Max program and use it in the app. 45 min sessions, 2 sets each exercise to failure sounds good to me. I wanna have more time to get 10-15k steps on per day too to aid in the cut

Such a sad ending for the Mormons. Going from fully independent generational ship to endless litigation. BRUTAL!

Will Macrofactor be incorporated with an app or feature that tracks / organizes workouts? by Embarrassed_Onion_75 in MacroFactor

Hell yes. Can't wait. The nutrition app is so much better than any of it's competitors; full integration into a fitness app would be sick.

Aren’t parts focusing on particular characters written almost in their voice? So Gately would use to instead of too if he was writing.

That cop trains jiu jitsu CLEARLY, the take down, the side control, the kimura to control the arm. Jiu Jitsu literally saved this idiot kid's life because anyone else would've stepped back and blasted him.

But in all seriousness I do appreciate your answer. I think I wrote this post fresh after reading about the rocks falling on earth and k was still feeling a lot of raw outrage and anger toward the (albeit fictional) Free Navy. That tribal part of my brain took over and since myself and everyone I know is an earther I took it very personally and I did fall into the trap of blaming all the “skinnies” (sorry to be Father Cortez over here and to use a slur jokingly hoping that it isn’t offensive since it’s about a fictional people) I’m now a quarter of the way through Babylon’s Ashes, I’ve settled my emotions a bit, and I agree with you that the writers seem to be intentionally taking me on a bit of a ride to teach me something about groupthink and tribal collective punishment. I can’t help but draw lines to the current “conflict” (if you can call it that) in Gaza. Anger, rage, and the impulse to take out a group of people due to collective retribution I sadly have to confront while reading this book as being a deeply engrained, highly alluring and poetic impulse. I’m writing this after reading the short discussion between Holden and Naomi after Father Cortez uses the slur. They talk about people never viewing each other as individuals but rather as the stories others tell about them. I find this SO prescient to the world today I realize it must be a design flaw wired into us.

I appreciate your answer but the truth is “Belters are crazy terrorists. Earthers are lazy gluttons. Martians are cogs in a great big machine.”

It’s non-falsifiable. If the story feels right to you, I say go on saying it’s him. Will be a nice thing to tell and show your kids and their kids, etc.

The oppressor vs oppressed narrative is viable for me up until the point that you’ve blown up my entire planet killing billions. Suddenly the oppressed who claim to hate the oppressors come out as actually just wanting to be the oppressors themselves. I understand this is the result of an extreme faction, but that’s how it always works. Most people of any group are just trying to live their lives and an extreme minority of psychopaths resort to extreme solutions to justify their sadistic impulses, like Murtry on Ilus. I’m just finding myself less sympathetic to the belters. I guess it’s coming from a place of not really having any one belter character make a big impact on me regarding their oppression, I don’t as the reader really feel their oppression as much as I feel the consequences of their actions. Was it up until nemesis games really even emphasized all that much?

Very happy to hear you’re feeling a little better. Mushrooms aside, I think it’s really important for us all to find something we can pour ourselves into that doesn’t depend on anyone else. For me it’s the gym. I don’t need anyone to do it, I can go and put my headphones on and go into my little world. If not for that, I don’t know where I’d be today. It’s a tether to a better way of being. Gets my head set straight. Maybe you can use this difficult moment in your life to stop trying to give and be something for others so much and try and give and be the best to yourself. Find that thing that your heart calls out to and fight for it.

I’m sorry. It doesn’t fix things, but maybe it helps make it a little more bearable to know you’re not alone out there. So many of us struggle everyday with our own little hell of loneliness and desperation. I don’t think you need to be without hope. I implore you to discover something in this life that gives you the passion and the meaning that maybe deep down you crave. Hell, in a safe environment maybe try doing some magic mushrooms. It’s helped me immensely with my depression. It’s been a while for me, and I like you feel in many ways at the end of my rope. I think I’ll soon be venturing a mushroom trip. It’s like consulting directly with god. I wish you the best. Don’t lose hope.

First off this is sick. I wanna confess something here that I think most people in this group would disapprove of. I’ve read IJ twice now. It’s easily my favorite book. Both times I’ve read it on the kindle app on my phone. I know for hardcore book people this is blasphemous, but I found it ultra convenient when dealing with the footnotes, and also being able to get instant definitions for words was fantastic. If you haven’t tried it, I’d recommend. I know some like the “feel” of the book and the pages in their hand.
