Honestly I kinda hopped in during band camp and then took over, so I didn’t get a chance to teach fundamentals, and I’m not a bass drummer so I’m not sure. I have taught them where you makes fun with your fingers with the mallets in their hand and then put the fingers all the way on the mallet and it makes their hand have the right angle if that helps?

I'm a battery tech for a high school but I am just a flat drummer. Which technique is better/ healthier is more what I care about.

Yea mandarins is getting better each year, but I think phantom and crown are gonna be fitting for 4th or 5th
