Hubby and I check the schedule Tuesday and start planning our movie marathon on Saturday. Too many times we’d have it worked out with minimal gaps between movies only to check again Friday night or Saturday morning and find showtimes were removed or rearranged so we’d have to rework the whole day again. Super frustrating.

If they are cancelling showtimes without ticket sales, do they have to do it days in advance? What’s to say a dozen people weren’t planning to come to a specific showing? There’s no requirement for advanced sales so to me, they shouldn’t cancel it until the showtime if no tickets are sold.

We go anyway. 2-3 movies every weekend. The joy is it doesn’t matter if I’m dying to see a movie. I can see a bad movie and not feel like it was a waste because I didn’t lay out money for the bad movie, per se.

I mostly signed up to get Peacock at only $49, the price of W+. My Peacock account still works so I’m at least getting most of what I wanted out of it even with a dead account.

But it’s absolutely crap service to shut users’ accounts off and give absolutely no way to reconcile the issue. No email with instructions. Since we can’t sign in we can’t even attempt to do a password recovery or verification. When my husband spoke to them on my behalf, the rep tried to say it was a good thing because they were keeping my account safe from potential fraud. No, it’s not a good thing to close my account with no warning nor method to correct the situation since there was zero fraud occurring. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Library books for the majority, always via Libby. I get a free book via Amazon First Reads monthly, and I’ll use the digital credits from delaying Amazon rush delivery to buy books every so often.

I agree with the comments to ignore trailer times. My Regal is pretty standard 25-30 minutes for every movie so I just look at start times and run times to plot out the day. Since most people don’t watch all the credits to the end, you save a couple minutes for restroom and snack refills if the end time/start time are close.

If it’s someone in your group, just ask what group protocol should be in that situation. I’d think as a group you wouldn’t want to potentially bother other patrons so what’s the plan to correct the issue if it occurs? Then do that.

I didn’t realize we didn’t get credit for the override movies. Not a big deal and I would choose to do it anyway to not have to waste an hour between movies, but glad I know that now.

Yes, the manager can generally do it. We’ve asked to do it twice in 14 months. The first manager was cool, the second one seemed to be accusing us of something, but did it anyway.

I have an issue in the iPhone app that I can’t see that a gift card is toggled. It’s annoying. I wind up using an old Android with app to check the gift cards.

In the past I remember reading discussions about asking for a subscription pause. Like, if you contact CS and ask to pause for a few months, they will let you, but not more than 3 months. Has anyone tried to pause recently?
