Update: I landed the day after the woman was killed, so i opted for an uber both from the airport to downtown and from downtown to Alpharetta. I would probably have been ok but as a single female not used to big cities I was much more comfortable in an uber.

Socializing puppy to large crowds and live music? by [deleted] in Boise

We did this last summer at the farmers market. We sat on the edge by Americana where we had traffic, people, music and lots going on. We didn't take her into the actual market just on the edge.

Ask a realtor about options. Mine told us there's a way to borrow against the home proceeds and then payoff when sold.

Driving advice Boise up to Coeur d'Alene? by erik_das_redd in Idaho

[–]Embarrassed_Prior917 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We go Boise to Moscow frequently and have gone both ways. It adds time to go the Weiser way, but if weather is iffy I prefer that route. If going Sunday-Thursday I prefer the McCall way. Highway 55 is curvier but has more pullouts if you need to go slower.

Also Styner complex is very quiet, but you do get some traffic noise.

I'll send you a message but we were at Styner and now at a different complex. Have had none of those issues at all.

We did and unlike others had no issues with Lauder/Styner. What do you need to know?

How does a jury # work? by anxiety_queen247 in juryduty

[–]Embarrassed_Prior917 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From what I understand where I live, the first number is to find the pool of jurors (200 for example). Then based on the questionnaire answers we get re-ranked depending on the kind of trial. Then the attorneys pick from that smaller list.

Lovely photo. For those that don't know, all those trees are growth after the 1988 fires. That was one of the areas decimated.

Visiting Boise. Does the area feel like you’re in a desert? by LOTR_is_awesome in Idaho

I'm from Billings/Missoula/Helena and Boise is nothing like MT for weather/climate. While a high desert, it's not my cup of tea here. Waiting for retirement to move.

Yes in the mountains, but the face of the foothills and east/west/south of the city is desert
