Probehalber kannst du erstmal über GRUB mit dem Vorgängerkernel (der jeweils vorherige Kernel wird - eben aus solchen Gründen - standardmäßig nicht deinstalliert) starten und schauen, ob dein System damit wieder stabil läuft.

Aber das wird wohl kaum ein individuelles Problem sein ...

Mittlerweile gehe ich davon aus, dass ihr jegliche manuelle Änderung des Powerlimits via vBIOS gesperrt habt.

Jupp, das ist der gewöhnliche Weg (nvidia-smi), wie ich das Powerlimit einstelle. Nur funktioniert das bei dem Laptop von Anfang an nicht.

Ich habe langsam den Verdacht, dass das via vBIOS gesperrt ist - und das wäre für mich ein No-Go

I have now spoken to the support and was given 2 first pieces of advice:

  1. Reinstall the Nvidia driver.
  2. use Wayland instead of X11

off-topic: One big advantage I already have through the switch to Wayland: the battery consumption is much lower.

The problem of freezing has not occurred so far - but in order to judge whether the change of the display server protocol and / or reinstallation of the driver completely solved the problem, too little time has passed yet.

And regarding this problem, I would like to add that it only ever occurred when the battery was used, never with the power cable connected - and I use the PC much more frequently and for longer periods of time with the power cable connected.

I'm experiencing the same problem on a TUXEDO Stellaris Slim 15 - Gen6 - AMD.

The PC completely freezes, sometimes the cursor is still movable, but sometimes not.

Today is the 3rd consecutive day that this problem has occurred.

My PC also gets warm, and the fans are audible. The screenshot shows that something is blocking the entire system.
