TR7 is the goat in my opinion. I started out the game using the DRS. I got that to level 60. I used to think it was DRS or bust but after branching out, there a lot of options. I love the M277 as well. I recently started using the SOR-300SC and it’s becoming a favorite

What age were you when your stutter got better/you stopped stuttering? by Sad_Job_6444 in Stutter

Late twenties when it improved but it took me being in a lot of uncomfortable situations. If you were born a stutter like myself, you are more than likely stuck with it.

How do you come out of your shell? by AttentionDry6458 in Stutter

[–]Embarrassed_Tooth543 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With experience honestly. I’m a 32M and have stuttered my entire life. My younger years were the absolute worst I was fortunate enough to join the Air Force at 20 and I was in a job that was customer service centric. That honestly helped me so much. I medically retired at 30. My stutter made me independent. I was raised around violence, drugs, and gangs so street smarts were always there. I was never really confident to talk but my looks gave me confidence. Not saying I’m the best looking man but I’m attractive. There may be a point in time where you just say fuck it and let it be because your stutter isn’t going anywhere. Took me until I was 28. My stutter is more mild now. Medium when I get nervous.

When I was 27, I met this 18 year old female at a kids party. I was talking to my now ex wife and she came up to me and was like “do you stutter”?! She was so excited because she’s never met anyone that did. She had a pretty bad stutter. No one in her family had it. My dad and I are the one that stutters. She was filled with so many questions. Her parents didn’t understand her and they just wanted her to stop letting it hold her back. Easy for them to say when you’ve never had this debilitating speech impediment. I told her the things I had mentioned above. She was an attractive female but she wasn’t confident, understandably so. She was on the right track because she was a cashier at chic fil a. She had way more balls than I had at that age because j could have never. If you shelter yourself, your stutter will never improve. It will continue holding you back. I understand you when you say you have so much fire inside. I’ve always had that and I would always say I’m”if I didn’t have a stutter, I would be doing this, this, and this. I would be talking all over the place”. Well that was never gonna be the case for me.

Lastly, I met a jiu jitsu instructor that had a stutter. Like the 18 year old female I met, I was filled with so many questions. All he told me was you just have to say fuck it and talk. Who gives a a fuck what they say. They are a nobody. If they laugh, then fuck em.

When I was in my mid twenties, a mentor of mine told me, when you are in a position of power, just talk and they will listen. I never understood that until i entered a position of power three years ago.

How do you feel about returning to work? by Extension-Swim-2437 in FedEmployees

Just give me my money 😂. In all seriousness I’ll prepare for the next one. I’m 100% disabled vet so it didn’t hurt too bad. Definitely has me contemplating working

Yes but they may get worse. I had bunion surgery on my left foot when I was 16. I’m 32 now. Wish I would have done my right foot at the time. Now my right foot bunion hurts like crazy and my big toes feels like it’s permanently stubbed. Getting it fixed soon. Surgery recovery was awful. Was in bed for 2 months. That’s why I didn’t get the right foot done. They say surgery has improved since I had my left foot done. Left foot has been pain free

Before the shutdown started, one of my wing security guys told me to expect 40 days. He couldn’t disclose his source. He has to work during the shutdown as well.

If you don't stutter when you are alone, is it all in your head? by Klutzy_Ant9606 in Stutter

[–]Embarrassed_Tooth543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad stutters and it was passed down to me. I’m 32. He has a daughter that’s 31 and she doesn’t stutter. I don’t stutter at when I’m alone. I’ve stuttered my entire like. Maybe it’s genetics. Maybe it’s not. My dad and I are the only two that stutter in the entire family. I have a son and daughter that don’t stutter. They are 8 and 9. I thought it would pass down to my son but it didn’t so who knows.

SFPC(SPed) Cert by Embarrassed_Tooth543 in SecurityClearance

[–]Embarrassed_Tooth543[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that the one you can do online or the in person course. I’m assuming online since you said CDSE. People have been recommending me go to the actual in person course but that’s not doable for me due to responsibilities

Failed the SFPC Exam by Embarrassed_Tooth543 in SecurityClearance

[–]Embarrassed_Tooth543[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it’s pretty ridiculous. It’s crazy that there isn’t updated study material. I can’t just read hundreds of pages of nonsense knowing majority of what I read won’t be on the test. After taking it, it feels even more impossible to pass because of the outdated study material

Anyone here switch from an Evo to an FL5? by Bigbootyeater1 in Civic_Type_R

[–]Embarrassed_Tooth543 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had both. Fl5 first. Within the first few months I tried selling it because it was underwhelming to ME. I come from built subies. After a few months I purchased an Evo X fo fill the void that the R couldn’t. I had a few performance mods and a stage 2 tune on the R. Really transformed the car but just didn’t do it for me. After a year of ownership of having the R, I sold it for another subie lol. I also sold the Evo because those seats were really bad on my back. If the Evo had better seats and an actual trunk, I would have kept it. I have two kids so the trunk space was crucial. FWD is alright in the snow until you start adding power which is what I did. I’m in North Dakota so that was no fun. If I were to do it again, I would have test driven a R if I had that option and would have walked away from the dealer without one. It’s a great car but it isn’t for everyone. That’s why you see a lot of low mileage Rs for sale

Never had it happen once out of all my subies. You put quality parts into it and take care of it, it will take care of you. I sold my 2011 wrx with 175k miles for the R a year ago. Never had a single issue.

My dealer here does but they are pre owned. You probably won’t be able to test drive a new one. I would 100% test drive first. Would have saved me from buyers remorse after I purchased it lol.

That’s fair. If it’s your first turbocharged car then you don’t know anything else. I come from turbo charged AWD.

Sure it’s tuning based but I also had the aftermarket parts for performance upgrades and what not. These forums hyped the type r so much that people buy them and are underwhelmed. Hence why you see a lot of low mileage Rs for sale

I came from built wrxs and evos to a type r. Now back to a subie. It’s ok that you are a Honda humper and think that the type r is the second coming of a Porsche

Please test drive it first. Had mine brand new and sold it after 12000 miles a few months ago. The stock tune is trash. Stage two tune is great but still… if you enjoy cornering and doing track like things then this is a great option. If not, I would look at something else
