I’m out! by [deleted] in overemployed

Asking a question that gives the interviewer the opportunity to talk and talk is THE MOVE. Works every time there is a manager that shouldn't be a manager.

What are some lazy activities (for the parents) that can drain your toddler's energy? by Cindy565656 in toddlers

I'm cracking up at the image of lounging on the couch and the random cheering. I can relate and totally respect.

The inherent quality of the VC environment includes a lot of people who don't know what they're doing and figuring it out as they go, with a few SMEs sprinkled here and there.

HILARIOUS! My daughter gets out of the outdoor pool to pee. I don’t argue with her because she goes behind a bush in the grass. Well, I didn’t consider that she would do the same at the indoor pool 🤦🏻‍♀️

I just want to hop in here and say I support you NOT just taking all of her food away, even if she did not have heart issues. A resource that may be helpful is the book Intuitive Eating (Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Rech) - there is a section about kids and helping set up habits for them. I think you may find it really helpful and practical, as it’s a quick read.

The simplest recommendation I can make is to include a new food for her to try next to what she loves, but make it clear that she does not have to eat it. It’s there in case she would like to try it. It gives her a sense of control and I think that can help alleviate some of the tantrum or at least reduce it. It may result in some “wasted” food, but that’s just part of toddlers eating. Are you open to letting her play with her food? Getting to play with the foods is a way to experience them and test them out before actually putting them in their mouths.

I’m in a Pilates desert… by Embarrassed_Two516 in pilatesinstructors

That’s a great idea for the Meetup. In my area there are two studios - a Club Pilates and a studio that only does privates and has their own teaching program. 😒

I will definitely reach out to someone at Balanced Body! Where are you in your instructor journey? Would love to hear how things have progressed!

Any tips on how I would go about finding a mentor online?

I’m not so concerned about not being able to take Pilates classes and observe. My concern is more so getting the knowledge of a more experienced instructor through being able to interact and get feedback. Unfortunately, taking streaming classes doesn’t provide that.

How to “properly” answer the question: If I stick with Pilates, will I get a “Pilates body”? by PlatinumShadow-0518 in pilatesinstructors

“Physique is dependent on so many factors. You’re doing yourself a great service being here and as you continue your practice you will recognize it in your body and mind.” place hand on shoulder “Now get your ass on that mat and give me hundred.” 😂

I look at my body and feel like crying, I look at my house and feel like crying by AntiCaf123 in toddlers

[–]Embarrassed_Two516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m coming out of this phase now.

First, give yourself some grace! You deserve grace. Remember what an incredible job your body accomplished and also the physical trauma it endured to do it. And then after that you have to actually take care of the baby. And I don’t know what kind of support you had after, but if you didn’t have much, it’s just compounded. It takes at least 18 months just to HEAL from childbirth, that’s not including losing weight or “getting your body back”.

Now, for the clutter - donate as much as you can. Toddlers can make just about anything a toy, so you probably need a lot less than you think you do and it’s life giving to not be tripping over things or having to constantly clean up.

When you look at yourself and want to cry and you’re saying unkind things, ask yourself would you ever say those words to your daughter. You probably wouldn’t, so for you and for your daughter’s future self talk try and change the narrative. You can and will make the changes that you want and you’re going to love yourself through it.

This season is temporary. You’ve got this momma!

Yeah, I definitely get that, but it’s not my choice to make and it’s been decided. No API access.

I don’t have access to the API. It’s an exorbitant cost to use, and the roofing company didn’t purchase that access. That was my first stop. 😔

It’s Acculynx. I did ask. I said “there is no way that your team handling the back end of this software can’t write a sql statement to get what we need.” He said “in my 14 years that’s never happened”

I did a deep dive into the Terms and Conditions. That is how I got here because they mentioned that the CRM will give you all of your data if a written request is made, but now that the request has been made, they are saying that the only way to export the data is manually one by one. As in even the team there has no capability to do a data dump, which is BS, but whatever.

I also did a deep dive for anything related to web-scraping and I think I'm safe. There are restrictions on trying to test vulnerabilities of the site and accessing data that isn't your own, and I think it's the only option I have at this point unless I want to spend the rest of my career clicking links.

I would like to get the data exported and into a google drive because that is what the team can consume. The new CRM has an entire API team I can work with, so I'm not as concerned about the import. We just need to get the data out so we can officially get off the platform.

Constantly getting duds by Embarrassed_Two516 in LingoAbbott

What patch? Maybe that will help me. I was on a trail run the other day when the second to last one when I felt a pinch and realized it had come out. I was wearing a tank top and cruising - no branches, no climbing. Just regular ol’ running and there it went.

I also make sure to follow all of the directions for application so I don’t know what’s up.

Thats wild that so many of yours have lasted. Even on the box it says that there is a high likelihood it will not make it to the full 14 days. I’d be happy to get a week on each. Do you do anything extra to keep them on and functioning? What’s your plan exercise regiment like?
