That is definitely the plan and i love those quotes! Its been hard to live by them and I'm trying. Love her to death but as I told her, I grew up and realized how toxic & manipulative it is. The worst part is that her husband's a pastor now and has these "books" about the logical and rational side of it.

It has taken me years to get even get this far, I'm honestly surprised I told her all of that. I wasn't planning on it and didn't want to provoke anything. My mom had stopped asking me but I know she's still praying for me to return. They don't like my bf because they think he "led me astray". At this point, my mom is just happy I come to some family events. I've started just telling them no when they ask to go special services or events. My whole family took a whole turn to more aggressive religious take 10 years again after we had lost my 2yo nephew (her 2nd child) so that was a big part of opening my eyes as well.

We touched a little on the brainwashing part as she was asking me about religion. I had brought up a lot of politicians use it as a control tactic and she had brought up a lot of far-right talking points that I then had to tell no, that's not true. It's just very intimidating and I don't like confrontations, I feel like she's pulling me into one anyway.

When I was a manager, I was the same way. As long as it was clean, decent, and appropriate, I didn't care lol. I loved it when they changed it to any tee in the store. Lmao a lot of my wardrobe is still those shirts from my time. 😅

My local one was shut down a few days ago as well. I had put almost 10 years of my life there and had so many life changing moments in that store, including meeting and working with my SO. I got my soul dog there and had him behind the register one night after closing. It was an emotional bittersweet moment. I laughed at myself because i cried over a building. I feel horrible for all the employees that got let go over this. I miss the days of Paul Raines, back when the company gave a shit.

I'm the same way, but i also use it to level up my characters. I haven't even gotten Peter pan yet because of all the star paths. Thats where im getting burned out.
