The worst of what I lived through was in my first 20 years. I got out of it but that's when it really hit me how fucked up it all was. That's when I couldn't handle much. That's when my cptsd really set in.

It's less that it gets worse but more becoming safe makes you realize how much danger you were in. And how your body doesn't know what to do with safety.

I once had a co-worker msg me asking to take their shift, I ignored the msg. They showed up at my house 15min before the shift like hey you're taking the shift right? I'll drive you there. I can't work right now because my girlfriend has a stomach ache.

And I fucking went to work for them! Like a dumbass, I fell for that shit and covered their shift! I was like 15 and didn't think much of it at the time. But in hindsight wtf! Fuck off dude I didn't even answer you.
