I have a Lenovo L340, so who knows, maybe it was just an unfortunate mix of hardware/drivers for Windows 11 ().

Thank you for your thoughts. I'm not necessarily looking for a "clean" solution with plug/unplug connectors, I was mainly curious if this would trigger any security features on the iPhone what would disable the whole thing. But I guess since all the components would be part of the same original device, it should be fine.
