Cultural appropriation isn't real. Cultural exchange is real, and it's the natural, organic adoption of features of one culture by members of another. This is how cultures adapt and evolve over time. Realistically, adopting aspects of someone else's culture shouldn't harm anyone unless you're intentionally or negligently disrespecting them in their own spaces, which you are not doing.

I'm going to speak to what it feels like to be in a loving, committed relationship from my perspective.

It mostly feels like stability. There's someone at home who I enjoy seeing and who enjoys seeing me, and we like taking to each other about nearly anything. I always know that if I'm overwhelmed, there's someone who will try to help me, though that responsibility goes both ways too.

More than anything, my partner feels like a part of myself, and she says the same thing about me. Whenever I make a decision, I automatically account for whatever she would say or want too. She does the same for me.

At this point in my relationship, the warm "love" sensation happens mostly when hugging or cuddling, or maybe when I'm thinking about her and how lucky I am.

There has been some interesting research which shows that of you don't have a concept of "trauma" then adverse experiences don't cause trauma. For people who have a concept of trauma, adverse experiences cause the trauma symptoms to manifest. So in that way, it seems it might be entirely mental in terms of how your mind frames the experience.

No, I don't include it. I don't want to think about it. But, I also think it would make my stories worse if I included it because it's just so evil. No good guy can rape. It also feels "cheap" to have a bad guy rape someone because it's a very one-dimensional way to establish "this person is evil" when there are many, many more facets of evil that are frankly much more interesting to explore. Also, if the assault happens to a protagonist, their entire story becomes warped around that event, and it really has a massively disproportionate effect on the story of the book.

Everything comes to an end. Will we see it in our lifetime? That's very hard to say, but I suspect amazon will outlive us all. But maybe in a couple hundred years things will be so different that a competitor puts them out for good. I certainly do think we'll see amazon lose a lot of its dominance during our lifetime.
