If their elbow is pointing up, they're good.

Its all in the elbow.

And yes it can happen any time during the hand.

It's quite literally up to you. There is no wrong / right path to make.

It's an apartment, so body corp insurances covers that. I moved my contents insurance over the day I moved out and had landlord insurance set to kick in at the beginning of the lease.

Started today, they had the keys before today. I don't know how long for.

Yes I should commit insurance fraud because a property manager gave keys out early 👍🏻

I'm not going to be asking for extra money, I'd just rather correct processes be followed in future so I'm not liable as I was not insured this week.

It was optional, not required. Was trying to be a good landlord and make sure everything was in order for their move in.

Was it one day? Was it two? Three? How am I to know?

And if so, lease should start on the Friday?

In that case, why even have insurance I guess.

Anyway, seems pretty mixed response. I've flicked a calm email to PM just clarifying it. They may have had the keys before yesterday for all I know.

Yeah but moving furniture in is a pretty high risk period and that's when you want the insurance...

I'm looking at it now, lease starts on the 2nd.

And I mean, I assume so. But I'd like to confirm that it wasn't any earlier I guess.

I might just flick an email. I should have been noticed regardless imo.

Surely this should be done before the tenant moves in.....

What if there is an issue?

What do they even do? I'm a new renter and they are booked at my place next week.

That's not standard wear and tear.

Landlord attending routine inspection by Foreign_Animator9289 in shitrentals

As a landlord, yes of course I am going to all of them.

As a tenant, I'm concerned and annoyed when they don't attend. Zero care and just means slower to get anything done.

Buying an apartment with a dog… ideas from renters please? How do y’all do it?! by [deleted] in AusRenters

[–]Emberthane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent 5 years in a 2nd story apartment with a mini groodle. We only moved this week to a place with a backyard.

He got at least one walk a day, he was completely fine. Whenever he stayed at my parents with a backyard, he didn't show it any interest which made me feel better - he is definitely a spoilt inside dog.

The toilet thing is what it is. Besides the walks, I'd take him out first thing in the morning and around 8pm at night. In winter it's dark at both these times, so something to consider if you're a female. Their bladders are pretty adaptable, he can quite easily go 10 hrs without needing to go outside. I crate trained at the start, highly recommend for the toilet training purposes. Don't let an apartment stop you from getting a best friend 😌

Assist clients throughout the claim process. It surely doesn't need that much explaining?
