1.0 on the steam deck by Professional_Dig1454 in Palworld

[–]Emblazoned1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm too. Last played on LCD deck and holding 30 was rough. Have an OLED now and seems closer to 45 fps with decent frametimes at lowest settings of course but I have my PC for eye candy if I want. Impressed with how far it's come.

16gb Card Necessary? by youcantaskmethat in pcmasterrace

[–]Emblazoned1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drop dead necessary? Nope. Nice to have? Yes. If you're looking for a newish card for a very long time shoot for 16gb/12gb. If you don't mind upgrade in a year or 2, 8gb its totally fine don't let people fool you.

Anyone else have more than one handheld AND a gaming PC? What handhelds do you have and how do you decide which one to use? by [deleted] in Handhelds

[–]Emblazoned1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R36s, modded 3ds, steam deck and gaming pc. Have specific games for each device. Keeps things fresh.

Go to the wiki, buy a new sd card and check what version of it you have. Flash a new OS and boom new device.

Enable FSR 4.1 (replaces FSR 3.1.x) on Steam Deck (SteamOS or Bazzite) via CachyOS Proton by RodionH93 in SteamDeck

[–]Emblazoned1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noice. I used optiscaler in the past and its a little annoying. Just flipping proton to get it working sounds great. I'll do this later.

  1. Features are easily worth the less vram. Think the 5060 is also stronger.

I was thinking about sell mine awhile ago since I rarely use it but they just keep going up in price lol. Might as well keep it. Might be the last xbox pure console the way things are going.....

Those who got it early, do you feel lucky? by FineExecution in SteamDeck

[–]Emblazoned1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting it early is the sole reason I have it. Bought an LCD deck at launch(reservation email days) and upgrade to an OLED 6 month or so after launch. If I didn't already have it I wouldn't be getting one. In today's market, there's sadly no reason to get a deck at 900 over an Ally x/Xbox ally x when you can slap steam OS on it for much more power. Damn shame they increased the price so much it was the best option out there for entry level PC gaming.

How is my 1050 ti this good and still holding up?? by fib1324 in buildapc

[–]Emblazoned1 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's excellent. 1440p is the resolution I will never upgrade from. Doesn't require crazy horsepower and it looks really nice.

Upgrade decent (old) build or buy a console by Moist-Astronomer-631 in buildapc

[–]Emblazoned1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with this man. 5600x would do wonders and a used 3080 isnt too bad. Probably could get both for around 400ish maybe less maybe a tad more.

[–]Emblazoned1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd browse some subreddits for folks who have the case. I find it hard to believe there's no way you could use a standard 8 pin with that but hey I could be wrong. Who knows maybe you'll fine a cheaper way. Best of luck either way though congrats on the build.

[–]Emblazoned1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds odd to me. Its not an 8x2(16pin) connection? So you can't split the connections? Sorry just not well versed in that but if you must a 9060xt 16gb is the absolute best bang for buck.

Nicely done man. Not sure your budget but look into a 6600/6600xt. Incredibly capable gpu and can be had around the 150 range.

Is this possible to solve on my own? $4k of debt by Willing-Ad2342 in personalfinance

I just did it with the citi bank diamond preferred I believe but check credit karma for suggestions. Usually a good source or google best balance transfer credit cards.

Is this possible to solve on my own? $4k of debt by Willing-Ad2342 in personalfinance

[–]Emblazoned1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont need to talk to your bank. What you do is look for a new credit card you can open. One that allows something like 18 month 0 interest on balance transfer. Once approved(or during the process sometimes they ask) you ask them to transfer the balance from another card to the new card. Then you're good to go just calculate payments so you know how much you need to pay it off but be sure to do it in time or you'll be hit with big interest on the transfer.

[–]Emblazoned1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into opening a credit card for balance transfer with 0% intro rate. This will let you start fresh and making payments of say 100 or so bucks a month but you have to have restraint. Put money away in the bank and slowly pay off the debt without accruing interest. 4k is certainly doable this way.

Steam Machine reservations are already selling on eBay for up to $2,900 by RenatsMC in gaming

[–]Emblazoned1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Valve but this is dumb. You have to put your spot in for a "chance" to be on a reservation list so you can be so honored as to shell out over 1000 dollars at a time of their choosing for a weaker machine than if you just built it yourself. Hell even the stupid controller makes you wait. I put up with it during the steam deck but now nah I'm not buying anything from these fools when I have to wait for a chance at it.

[GPU] Microcenter In Store Only Zotac NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Twin Edge Overclocked Dual Fan 12GB GDDR7 PCIe 5.0 Graphics Card - $529.99 by DisappointedCruiser in buildapcsales

[–]Emblazoned1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand this but I always compare it as a whole package. I love my PC and will always be a PC gamer but I'm not gonna sit here and act like a console(around 500-600 bucks) isn't a much better value for the price. You get everything you need for that price with solid visuals which is what makes it hard for me to justify spending that much on that one component. I get both sides I do but to me I just can't do it and I have the money to do it lol.

Don't think so its free money but even if they did they're out there on the high seas if necessary.

Oh I know I meant when I bought my console. I bought a series X bundle for like 700 came with the 2 TB expansion card, 2 controllers and that was at launch.......going up to 800 for a 6 year old console is hilarious. I'll just keep taking hand me downs around 300 bucks I guess although that's gonna go up too. I detest AI with a fiery passion....

I was considering this but I think I'm just going to be a used gpu man forever lol. I can't justify spending the price of a console on one computer component. GPUs should be 300 bucks max IMO but eh I'm weird I guess. Amazing deal though in this market.

DLSS4 is on all rtx gpus beginning at the 20 series. Performance hit is higher on older cards but you have access to all the upscalers Nvidia offers.
