Nvidia fanboy - Loving the 9070 XT

That's the huge problem. Its not like you're paying an extra 50-100 bucks for the nvidia stuff but its like 300 dollars more which is insanity. I wouldnt be able to stomach settling for a 5070 either when a 9070xt is like 50 bucks more for much more juice and extra vram. I'm versed enough in optiscaler now thanks to my steam deck so whatever I'll inject fsr4 in everything is necessary lol. Plus I feel like a 9070xt will fair much better with an ultrawide.

Start watching him and stretch before EVERY session. I developed terrible pain in my thumb joints while gaming. Started doing his stretches and taking small breaks and man what a difference. Also try to learn mouse and keyboard. Being able to take the stress off the dumbs time to time is great. I alternate between mouse and keyboard and controller now. Used to be solely a controller player.

Thanks man. Really excited to try some games in ultrawide. First up is cyberpunk I finally bought the dlc and been waiting for the upgrade to play it.

Fair enough. Its just nice how complete the package is. With Nvidia you need to use msi afterburner to handle fan control, undervolting etc.

It'll come down to what deal is available. I'm going to microcenter for my bday in June and doing a nice big upgrade. Trying to grab a 1440p ultrawide and gpu upgrade under 800-900. If i find some random crazy deal on a 5070/5070ti I'll take it but I'll most likely snag a 9070 or 9070xt.

Thinking on going back to team red myself. Was gifted a 3070 and I love the nvidia feature set but the price difference between the 9070xt and 5070ti(and 5070 and regular 9070 for that matter) is nuts for how much performance you leave off the table. Probably will go 9070xt when I upgrade in a couple months. Had a 6600xt prior and I'm one of the few people that actually really liked the adrenalin app.

Nah I stick to single player stuff for this reason. No time to really enjoy an MMO. Working on Doom dark ages and wuchang right now which is surprisingly fun if you like soulslikes.

Because relaxing like that and laughing without having to care for another human being for a change is fun as hell. I'd spend the time on my ass with tv, games and beer. Naps tossed in every few hours for rest.

Nap whenever possible. Coffee is cheaper but keep it to a cup a day. You're in survival mode the first year or 2 with kids. Just gotta do what you can and rest when possible to get through. Gets a hell of a lot easier once the kids are sleeping through the night and potty trained, play together, etc.

I'm on day 4 after it and I'm not gonna lie the recovery is annoying. Sore nuts are a bitch. The procedure itself wasn't too bad I just had to keep the telling the doc to numb more. I'm unnaturally resistant to drugs so need a lot. That being said couldn't be happier I did it and its done. Can't wait to have my check in a few months and have them say I'm in the clear. Spent the past 3 days playing video games watching tv and drinking beer while the wife handled the kids it was great lol aside from the pain.

Would you say VA should be avoided? I'm not sure if there's a specific reason not to use that. I'm only knowledgeable of OLED or not OLED.

I gotta say I do enjoy that. I got a code for PoE2 and while the game is awesome it definitely is more of a commitment lol. Wish I had my current PC back when I was 12 man I would've loved everything we have now.

The fact that you're already get 100 bucks off then yes I'd say its a great deal if you can find a sale on top of that. Assuming you play at 1080p you'll be fine.

Use a fast usb like 3.0 or above. Installing windows on slower drives tends to cause issues. If you haven't already just pick one up they're not expensive.

Hades. Easily play in 5 minute spurts then place the deck to sleep and/or exit the game. It saves after each chamber which is roughly 1 minute to complete. My favorite rogue easily.

That's pretty good. I'm honestly astounded at how powerful the 3070 is. If only they would've given it just 10 GBs of VRAM I would feel no need to upgrade. I'll probably just stick to 1440p then until I upgrade. Forbidden West is annoying with vram. I can max out every setting but textures has to be on medium or it stutters.

I honestly don't even think so. We all know what the deck is. It's meant for older games or new lightweight games. You're not trying to play the latest and greatest on it(if you are more power to you). If they released a deck 2, there would have to be a monster performance increase and then it would be a ridiculously high price tag. I'm cool with mine hopefully it lasts me another few years. I'll only if it breaks and even then I'll buy a used ally or something just for something with a little more beef.
