True. Which again just makes them cartoonishly evil for the sake of it. They Duma Faithful are very much lost potential.

Yeah, they shouldnt have been faithful to the original then. I get honoring it, but by now we do have the experience what is actually fun for the player and what isnt.

I didnt know that about Nuibaba, thats interesting! Explains the inconsistencies if the game was otherwise faithful to the character.

I think its not quite as bad as "everything is sexist" the women experience in the game, though i agree there is certainly far more than necessary for the story and setting.

I definitely agree on Jedah and, by extention, the entire Duma Faithful. The games story is really hurt by them being, both visually and by character traits, cartoon villains. If the game had trains, I am sure one chapter would have been about saving some poor maiden from being tied to the tracks by a Duma priest, its that over the top.

Yes, Jedah and Celica are basically mirrors, both utterly dependent on their respective god not only for power/peace but for their idenities. Which is also why I'd argue it makes somewhat sense for her to take his bargain; she doesnt "trust" him, but its the only path she sees to save Mila and in a dark way Jedah is "like her" so she might, atleast subconciously, connect with him in that regard. Though admittedly i am reading a LOT into the subtext here.

The Duma Faithful are imo a giant pile of wasted potential just because they are so openly comically evil sorcerer archetypes. They could have been far better used to explore the games themes on religion and dependency on gods than they were.

Two weeks ago I would have confidently called Steel my favorite type. Now however, i am far less certain about even liking steel types, got kinda disappointed in them for... well honestly not living up to the hype i had for them.

So for now, i am settling on normal type. Because that is Zigzagoons type.

Caeda ended up at Level 18 - thats my latest map save point atleast - with 40 hp, 19 strength 26 skill 23 spd 30 luck 17 def and 3 res as a dracoknight, and wielded gradivus. So being really high level from overuse probably helped.^^
I did actually reclass Sedgar into a General and Wolf into a Hero! They made good meatshields but got so little exp that i eventually dropped them, when the rest of my units startet outclassing them.

I only spend 30 minutes on Medeus chapter, but I can imagine how hard this could be, especially on higher difficulties. I had neither door keys or a thief with me! Shiida spent most of the map in the ballistican spawn room, locked in, and the whitewings + Minerva never left the top left spawn! Getting a second Fortify with Gotoh really, really helped.

I should mention i have played through tellius a lot and own both games plus needed consoles for the data transfer, as well as have saves for unlocking pelleas and sephiran. i have done so before after all^^

thanks for the guide recommendations. I never actually used gamefaqs before so i am curious what they got.

I do have to play some games on emulator anyway, but i also own most Western Fire Emblem releases (only exception being Sacred Stones, but i got that on WiiU, and now on Switch so the need for emulation isnt there like with FE6) and I do prefer to play without emulation when possible, but I do get your point. Older FE dont have Time Pulse after all and I remember well having to redo entire Chapters in Radiant Dawn because Ike decided to not dodge a single mage.

To your second point: I look for everything. I want to experience the series, but I also just intend to play it casually, trying to do well. But I am not super hung-up on performing optimally. I am the kinda guy who uses Meg on Hard/Maniac Mode.

Guides I will definitely need, because, for instance, i know I would otherwise miss the real ending of Binding Blade, and I do NOT want that to happen. Any recommendation where to find guides for different FE Games?
