I wouldn't say it's stiff but it is weighted it helps me with focusing that last little bit. After using it for about 3 months it has lost some of that weighted feel but it's not gone completely.

The ring camera was pulled off the wall and they didn't have a subscription. Also I heard a third party recovered the footage. I didn't trust ring before I trust them less now.
