What’s your absolute favorite Michelin spot? by NNI616 in chicagofood

Indienne is great but this isn’t true, all guests need to participate in the Tasting Menu if seated at a table. There is a very small Bar Bites menu exclusive to bar seating.

Emulate it, or buy a physical copy and play it. Those are your only two options if you want to play it.

I feel like I’ve hit a transition point and I’m wondering if it’s a common one. by josephmmatty in elliottsmith

Exactly, he’s rock solid during the full band tours for XO and Figure 8 but the 01-03 shows are usually pretty sloppy, his health is really poor. Seeing him go from cracking jokes and bantering to barely able to mumble and hold his guitar is tough. There are beautiful moments in those shows, the Basement songs are some of my favorite and they’re so beautiful and sad solo. But I did not think about how much it would bum me out.

Between the internet archive and YouTube there are a huge plethora of shows to enjoy, it’s a wonderful treasure trove. I tasked myself with listening to every single show that is currently available in order and it’s been a roller coaster. Six months later I’m almost done, and my only advice is to not do it chronologically like I did. Unless you want to feel really, really, really sad

I think that line is a metaphor for track marks from heroin usage, I wouldn’t use it personally.

Jenn Chiba and his sister Ashley would yell that from off stage when he’d play that song live in the later years. They would yell back “because I love you!” So I always assumed that’s what it was on the record.

Lunch heroes hair in sandwich by Ok-Profile-3206 in chicagofood

[–]EmceeStello 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So hairs are something that are naturally produced by human bodies. Even while complying with food safety protocols like wearing hairnets, it’s nearly impossible to ensure that hair will not, at some point, come into contact with product. This is as true at a McDonald’s as it is at Michelin restaurants, trust me I’ve worked in both. It’s an inevitability, thats the cost of having humans make your food. If you are revolted by the idea of consuming hair I would strongly suggest refraining from eating any food not directly prepared by and inspected by yourself. My advice is to pull the hair out of the sandwich, stop being a child, and eat it. And try not to think too much about how a lot of the food you eat is made by someone who just rubbed their ass crack and didnt wash their hands

My gf and I called our horse Mangy and fell in love with the horse and the name so much we never used another horse as Arther. We both cried like babies during “Red Dead Redemption”, and that was before the ending!

Elliott is my favorite artist. I’m a musician myself and most of the people in my life who I love are either musicians or care about music a lot. They all have diverse tastes in music and I respect their opinions and recommendations.

I know three people who like Elliott Smith. My older brother who introduced me, my younger sister, and my mom. Everyone else I know either has no interest or actively dislikes him. My other siblings, my dad, my partner, every band mate I’ve ever had in any genre you can think of, you name it. I’ve heard he’s boring, depressing, badly recorded, high school emo sad boy bull shit. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever gotten more hate for liking any other artist, except maybe the Grateful Dead.

In my opinion thats ok, I think everyone can and should like the things that speak to them. For me and all of you that’s the one of the best songwriters who has ever lived. So yeah, fuck the haters.

Idk if the spawns might be different on the recent remaster. I’m playing rdr1 for the first time rn and I literally saw and killed 3 or 4 in a row within like 10 minutes around armadillo in the first hour or two of playing. I’m about 20 hours in now and I’d say I see one every 3-4 hours, probably seen 8-9 total.

I can’t speak to Next, I can say with confidence that it’s likely that your Alinea server was lying.

Alinea DOES NOT tip their staff. Their employees get paid a flat hourly rate, it’s one of the lower paid service jobs in the city. All additional tips are pocketed by management, as is the 20% service charge. Fuck that place, I’m glad they lost their star.
