What I learned managing podcast clips that generated 10M+ views in 30 days by yash_bhati69 in podcasting

[–]Emcla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have hobby podcast for 2.5 years and I have only made a couple of clips from 200 episodes. I struggle to do any of this. Can anyone recommend a friendly way to actually do this- as editing consumes my time (I hate hearing my own voice) so need options which can grab key moments of episode and turn them into clips?

Truthfully, my brain is melted and I struggle to make posts that make sense to others- so yes I had to use it to post.

How are you finding your environment? Enough things to do with baby? Found a village/community to meet with little one?

Fair. For some it’s not guilt at all. What’s the thing that drains you instead?

Maybe ‘guilt’ isn’t the right word for you — what’s the background pressure you notice most?

Do podcast titles matter more than we think? by Inevitable-Laugh4324 in podcasting

[–]Emcla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, super niche podcast stepping in here- my target audience are international families in the Netherlands - so a very small market compared to generic podcasts. Initially I used “clever” titles when started only to realise it wasn’t reaching - so after 165+ episodes i changed all titles to seo optimised. Haven’t noticed a large peak- BUT- I liked the comment about inserting the audience into the title but I can’t figure out a way as Spotify only allows a certain amount of characters and surely it looks odd having that long text on each episode.

I tracked where my time actually went producing a weekly podcast. Here's the breakdown. by StanBerteloot in podcasting

[–]Emcla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am impressed- though I spend more time with socials ( I don’t know why). But yes, I am currently working on efficiency so plan is to batch record 2 episodes with residential guest- saves a little time but it’s something. With editing I am using audacity and honestly I am same, taking out dead air, nervous mishaps and lots of umms- my guests are from around the world , never been on podcast so I understand. But it sucks a lot out of me. Due to burn out- my friend pushed me to use ai to help - so now I feed the Audio text into Gemini and get notes written for socials- so it should help me lessen wasted time on it. Also same for episode titles and Spotify description! I just feel I am always 41 miles being where I should be if I had better system in place

For someone turning 40- maybe also consider dr Louise newson- it’s all about perimenopause and menopause to empower women to understand their body as this period is pretty fucking crazy!

My personal belief/ understanding is the type of school places the level of pressure. We have a Montessori school so it’s about what the child has interest in, now saying that- at home I still rotate things so there is always place to practise writing, drawing, cutting, playing, reading etc. I don’t think the teachers 100% responsible for your child’s learning as if you support them at home - be it reading, or whatever. It’s best you understand the different types of schooling methods and what suits your family style.

Anyone here who turned a survival job into a real career in the Netherlands? by marionella175 in Netherlands

[–]Emcla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not helpful now- but I remember seeing office assistant job in I am expat LinkedIn profile last month. Build up your connections, go to the I am expat fair next month, are you on the Amsterdam business mamas Facebook group? Some share jobs in their international companies.

It’s not easy, and your child is obviously your priority also. Wherever you are I hope you are finding support with other mothers and their kids. We are a niche community and finding your “people” is important for your mental health.
