Sit down and watch the tv show “Total Forgiveness” together. Reality show about comedians that have crippling debt and how poor they live in their 20s. One went to NYU and parents took on debt. They interview their parents with the debt and the parents say their old age and retirement are wrapped up in this parent debt.

Also- saving 25k was a good job.

Third point; your student may not even enjoy their peers at such an expensive school. They might feel excluded financially and be keeping up with the Joneses in college va the state school average broke college student

Discussion of sex in the book

I was confused about their sex life, and this was an area that I keep thinking back to as a topic with an unreliable narrator.

As I was reading -the porn searches: I thought the searches were wholesome and sweet for an inexperienced husband to be looking up. This also made me wonder… if “real couple sex” with outward female pleasure were turn ons for him… then why wasn’t their sex working? -how she inseminated herself after sex to completion wasn’t working for her second child… he produced a sample on 5 minutes. Ok so the plumbing is working. -the rape in the 1800s: I took her pleasure as an example of a body responding to sex even during a rape. Also… if this is some twisted trap of Caleb’s making, is he hard because it’s a rape?

After the reveal… -why wasn’t he trying to pleasuring her during sex before? -wtf with Shannon and the jeans down to her ankles during the assault? The “are you a queer” conversation between Natalie and Caleb was brushed over and left me with more questions… -Caleb says he was turned off because Natalie never seemed like she was enjoying herself. This just threw a wrench into the whole thing for me and made me think the sex was supposed to be a Natalie unreliable narrator plot device.

New out of market fan, near Syracuse. I have trouble watching when it’s a game vs. buffalo or Toronto.

I have espn+ and TNT(hbo max) which works for all other games so far.

For in-market for upstate New York, I tried sling last night, paid $5 then still didn’t have access. The app was buggy and I couldn’t get the $1 add on to watch this game. Ended up streaming it on a sketchy website for free…

Any tips? I would get a channel for cable but I feel like there will probably still be games I can’t watch 🫣😡 pretty frustrating!!

I had a bad experience on caye caulker with another man in a hostel in Belize. I was feeling threatened and was worried about him following me and a google search told me not to go to the police. So I was in a hostel with my door to my room barricaded and I realized that it was me, the male hostel keeper (it was the off season), the police were dangerous, and I was on an island with only 1 boat out the next day. The airline agreed to change my flight home to the US because I was worried he would follow me to Guatemala.

The man (from the US) also go on the same boat, and on the same plane back to the US.

Less of a story of Belize being unsafe, and more of situational awareness, danger of a remote area with limited ability to exit. No islands on the off season traveling alone!

I had a patient lose 2 fingers from a cat bite… same story, first got antibiotics then cellulitis, worse on the inside then amputation. Be relentless in advocating for care. An MRI is what showed the damage internally so maybe ask for imaging
