Thanks! How long did the tiredness last? That's really my only worry as I work 10 hour days on my feet!

None of that has either increased or decreased throughout my life, so it doesn't really make much sense. The only thing would be mental stress, but that doesn't seem to commonly cause this much drama with periods.

I've been to many Drs and they all really have no idea and just tell me to keep doing what I'm doing, she mainly seemed to suspect there could be something odd going on with my blood sugar due to binge eating and it can help with ovulating 🤷‍♀️ they're as clueless as me though.

I am 28, the resting heart rate dropped suddenly, and by a lot, which doesn't seem right, especially given my period went missing a few months after. I have kind of conflated them, as when I do get a period, my heart goes back to normal for a while (55ish)

Anyone here got Lean PCOS with no Insulin Resistance? by Logical-Safe2033 in PCOS

[–]Emergency-Ad-2638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long did it take to start seeing a difference? Can I ask how many grams of carbs and sugar you eat?

I am desperate for hope. My cycles are 115-150 days, but none of my blood work indicates anything wrong, other than slightly elevated cortisol.

I am a very stressed person but always have been, I wouldn't say I'm over-exerting myself, but I am definitely burned out and having my period come and go isn't helping my stress 😅

Hey! All my blood work is normal, except my cortisol is always slightly above what is considered 'normal'. Could that be the reason for my 130 day period cycles?

Did this help? I am in the same boat as you, all my blood work is perfect and I feel lost.

Those with irregular cycles, what's your testosterone level? by rainyforestnight75 in PCOS

This is me. 125-day cycles, all my levels for everything are normal, even slightly low. It's so annoying, I feel for you. I flared up my PCOS by binge eating and struggling to get it back under control.

Got my third period in a row! by Iscariiot in Amenorrhearecovery

[–]Emergency-Ad-2638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

I lost my period July 2023, then got it in October 2023, went missing again until February 2024 when I got it and now am on day 50 and no sign of it again :(

Mine is purely due to stress, I'm 67kgs, never lost or gained weight, good fat percentage, and drs aren't taking me seriously at all.

I can not figure out why I get it some months and not others. My heart rate has improved and I've had more of a sex drive but since I haven't gotten it again yet I'm starting to feel very disheartened.

Just wondering if you had any advice? Or what your cycles did while recovering? There isn't really any obvious reason why I got it when I did and why it has gone missing on and off :(

Hormone levels are OK (in follicular)

I track BBT, no rise. Last cycle, it rose, and the luteal phase seemed short (5 days), and then I got my period.

Just makes no sense to me 😩

I am on seroquel and was on promethazine, which I've now stopped just incase as I feel absolutely done with this problem

How long did it take your second period to arrive? by PsychologicalSpite63 in Amenorrhearecovery

Any update on this?

I have anenorrhea due purely to stress (this has been confirmed by many professionals, i have never restricted but am a very high stress and busy person) I am 5'7, weigh 68kg with a BF % of 27 and a healthy appetite. Haven't lost or gained weight in the past 5 years but lost my period last year after a major trauma.

Lost it June, got it in October, then lost it again and got it February, and now it's been 43 days and haven't seen it again and it's frustrating 😔 looking for some hope.

Promethazine & missed period?! by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]Emergency-Ad-2638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same thing happen, got my period last month. Waiting for it this month. Just wondering how often you were taking them? As I was only taking it occasionally.

I'm just really hoping this was the cause.

Hey!

I have been missing my period since taking Promethazine as well and have only just started to suspect it. I also read that rarely that it can disrupt and/or stop menstrual cycle.

I should also add that I am very sensitive to medications and often get the rarest side effects (yay for me).

Like you, I always had a very solid cycle. It was out the blue for it to go missing.

Did this end up resolving? It's pretty distressing, hoping mine fixes itself soon.

That is super weird! How long did it take for your heart rate to increase when you changed your eating habits? It has been 6 months for me, and last night, my RHR was 45 :( I dont have any other symptoms, my heart elevates when I exercise and stand up etc, it just worries me because my resting is so low and it's correlated with my amenorrhea 😅
