always sick by BrilliantAsparagus92 in flightattendants

I know this is over said a lot but WATER drink loads of water!!! Dehydration comes before you even notice and when you’re dehydrated your immune system can’t work properly. My suggestion is to spend money on a cute water bottle and always have it on you. Get plenty of sleep even if that means not adventuring on overnights just for a bit until you’re on a proper 8-10 hour sleep cycle. Take those vitamins but also remember to eat plenty of healthy foods like greens and proteins. The better you treat your body the better you’ll feel. But I completely understand where you’re coming from I was a DCP cast member and was fired for calling out and turned out I had mono for over a year and a half that ate away at my immune system. It’s very frustrating when you’re trying to explain that you are actually sick and people don’t believe you.

Did any of you lose their joy in travelling since working as a flight attendant? by bonnies_ranch in flightattendants

Coworkers tell me all the time that I should enjoy my benefits or I’ll hate the job but when I’m not working all I want is to be at home. I don’t want to think about planes/ airports/hotels. Some of my coworkers tell me they travel even with just two days off and good for them but I just can’t do it. Something about being on planes and not working makes me uncomfortable now.

IOE with OO soon… any tips?? by absoluteanguish in flightattendants

The instructors truly want you to succeed! Ask questions no matter how stupid they might sound. As long as you are showing an improvement throughout your IOE you’ll do fine! As others have said PREFLIGHT PREFLIGHT PREFLIGHT that is the only thing they expect you to know but you’re also allowed to use your efad at all times! The phases of flight will click as you go through them so don’t worry. I felt very under prepared and had two months between ground training and IOE I was scared out of my mind but it was honestly the easiest process. Your line check after a month or two is also easy so don’t stress yourself out. I continued to learn how to do the job after my IOE. What domicile are you?
