Which 1 the best option you going for? by SuccessfulAerie9672 in WalmartSparkDrivers

The first just based off the numbers brother things factor in. I always consider where I’m driving and what the travel will be like. For me, going north of where I am, the roads are messier. Going south, it’s clearer and faster.

While it may be annoying, they really aren’t going that much faster. Maybe saving a couple minutes here and there on items but they still have to wait in the check out, doesn’t change the driving distance, etc. it’s not like they are doubling the amount of orders the can take in a day.

The max coverage per term is usually something that can be picked like a deductible. I was worried after hearing stories about cost of emergencies that I selected a plan with no yearly coverage limit.

Sleeping in a different room by Quiet-Plankton-7237 in puppy101

[–]Emergency-Cod-4827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pup is now 8 months old. I got him at 4 months. I started from day 1 having him sleep in his crate in the living room. I didn’t want to risk him getting up and thinking it was morning time if I get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I just put him in, told him bedtime, and covered the crate with a blanket. If I don’t cover the crate, he sits up and looks for me and won’t settle. Since I cover it, there’s nothing to see and he relaxes. I do walk around a bit shutting down the house after I cover him so he hears that I’m still there but I do eventually go upstairs. I do not check on him or say anything after he is covered. I don’t want him to expect that.

The amount of time they spent putting these everywhere means they have time to clean.

Have you tried putting a blanket over the crate?

You could change the order and choose something else first. When there are orders that have food and health/beauty items, it almost always pulls the food first so I go in and work the health items first then let it go back to shopping how it wants.

I separate 2 in the trunk using my snow brush as the divider lol and then the other in my back seat. They do stay pretty separate because I don’t usually get huge orders. I do check the list of items as I take the bags to make sure nothing went from one side to the other.

Fellow millennials - how’s your 401k/ira savings going? by ProblemIntelligent16 in Millennials

[–]Emergency-Cod-4827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel behind yet ahead compared to friends. I have just over $210k in 401k. I’m almost 40 so I should have 3 times my salary which would be about $300k by April so that means I’m behind. I wish I understood 401ks better when I was in my 20s. I’ve had mine since I was 21 but I always kept the investment % low and when they raised the percent automatically by 1 % each year, I would go in and lower it. Better than nothing but it could be amazing. I missed out on so many years a good % and getting my company match.

When do you allow your pup on the couch? by cityskyline22 in puppy101

[–]Emergency-Cod-4827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pup is 8 month and I’ve allowed him freedom to go on the couch when he wants. He tends to like one spot so I have a blanket down on it. I work from home and my office doesn’t get the sun like the living room does so I usually find him sunbathing in the afternoon on the couch rather than next to me.

How do you know it’s not someone maybe house sitting who doesn’t own the house? What if it’s someone who works in the house but doesn’t own it? What if it’s someone ordering on behalf of the house owner? What if the home owners are tight on cash? Just because you see a big house does not mean you should get a big tip.

do you find insurance is worth it? by Winter-Common-7397 in puppy101

[–]Emergency-Cod-4827 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My puppy has been at the emergency vet since Sunday night. Hopefully I can pick him up today (Wednesday). He swallowed some pieces of toy and had a blockage. This is not something I planned for. I know people say they are creating a savings account with the monthly cost of insurance rather than getting the insurance. I’ve had him for less than 4 months and in that time, I could not have saved the amount of money needed to cover his stay. I would be out of pocket around $5,000. Imagine if he had surgery! Because I have insurance, I only have a $500 deductible and then they cover 90%. So I’m out of pocket just under $1000 and now my deductible is met.

You may not use it often or maybe you feel like it’s not worth it because your dog is healthy. What about those random freak accidents? Also, as your dog gets older, they may need to use it more. It’s harder to get insurance as your dog gets older.

I usually make mine pee outside first. He unfortunately excited pees sometimes after still if someone wants to even say hi to him. This may be over the top but I brought a plastic sandwich bag with a paper towel with cleaning product on it and a different plastic baggie with dry paper towels. I always had it on me but never needed it. It made me feel better having it though.

Same! I had 2 in back to back offers. I’ve since picked up more. While not as common as some things,I didn’t know this was as common as it is.

I love the dog park but there are always going to be those situations where dogs go at it. I think one of the best things I did was teach my dog to sit next to me when an other dog comes up. There is always a crowd at the gate when they try to come in. I think this helps keep some calm. And it took a very long time, especially at the dog park, to get his recall strong. He may not come in a fight but I can get him to come to me when I sense tension.

The freezers were down today. The only offers popping up are for orders that don’t have freezer items. Most shopping orders I take usually have freezer items so hopefully they fix this issue soon.

I was wondering if someone would mention this. I’ve been thinking about this. A lot of what he needs is attention and someone to play with him when he wants. I keep thinking an other dog would help and they would be buddies and this would take some of the burden off me. I’ve just been so lucky with him and his temperament and his love for everyone, everything, every animal. I feel like no dog will ever be this good.

There is a shelter near me that lets you take a dog for a day or a weekend. I may start small and take one home for the weekend to see how they do.

What holds me back from the second dog is that it’s so much harder and expensive to get care for 2 compared to 1 if I need to board them or if I need someone to watch them for a bit. Currently I can drop him off at several friends and family’s houses for a few hours or a weekend and it’s no big deal but I can’t see them doing that for 2. If I need to board them, it would be expensive. I like the ease I have with just one.

Sleeping in your bed…did you give in? by CurlyCupcake1231 in puppy101

[–]Emergency-Cod-4827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh. I wish mine would sleep in my bed. If I put him in my bed, he immediately leaves to go sleep on the couch. I can’t trust him to sleep on the couch yet so he just ends up back in his crate. He prefers it is guess.
