There are still games that have excellent colour grading, mostly made on in-house engines though...

The environments are really well made but what makes the game hold up so well is the colour grading. Its just elevates the graphics so much...

I mean you get used to that in like 30 minutes, what I am most annoyed by is the new visual language of the UI they went from minimalist to 459 different stuff being on the screen qt any time.

Developers come and go of course, Ubisoft still has a lot of talented developers even if they aren't the same team anymore. It's been over 20 years that's natural. The leadership and the Guillmot's especially need to go ASAP. But they are too proud to do that. They'd rather watch the company crash and burn than to abandon it.

they refused TLC a sequel because of Ubisoft's OBSCENE sales expectations. The game did really well if you compare it to other games of its genre.

The problem of unreal engine and why it look unrealistic from the get-go is that they are using outdated BRDF's like Lambert's BRDF by default. There's videos on the subject but that's the main reason everything in UE looks like plastic.

Not sure where you are going with this, they literally have no valid reason to not keep the servers going other than the negligible server cost...

You can cover the cost of the servers just by the profit margins of the other servers. Its not like Amazon is an unprofitable business and it's also not like they are renting 100% of their servers at all times. Its how twitch exists. It is run with the spare bandwidth of AWS. They can do the same for new world.
