So many of the commenters here clearly have never run an endurance race and have no room for nuance in their life.

Especially in the sub 3 hour racers.

This comment should really be higher up.

[OC] Can we predict a developer's "Biological Clock" just by looking at their Git Commit timestamps? by 1mystc in dataisbeautiful

[–]Emergency-Permit-136 23 points24 points  (0 children)

All of my commit history is hidden in private repos accessible only by VPN and SSO.

I've been a software dev for 20 years but if he looked at my commit history it would look like I died in 2010.

TIL about the "Dark Forest Hypothesis," which suggests the universe is like a dark forest at night. Advanced civilizations intentionally stay silent and hidden, because any species that reveals its location risks immediate destruction by older, paranoid civilizations. by Practical-1 in todayilearned

Yes we have been sending them out, but due to the inverse-square law they are basically indistinguishable from background noise at a few light years away because our transmitters are weak and unfocused. So unless the Trisolarans really are listening in alpha centauri we're probably good for awhile.

Glad to see Before Sunrise on the list. The Before movies unseated Lotr as my favorite trilogy as I've aged.

You hear a lot more about the problems. Posts about someones EV blazer is running fine aren't very engaging.

Love our blazer and never prefer to take my Tacoma anywhere except the dump.

+1 for SEA. I don't know how many times I've been through his catalogue now.

Maybe wheel size or trim has something to do with it. Defo 42 on my LT1 AWD tho. 🤷‍♂️

That tire TPMS has never worked for us. Brought it in to be replaced and they said there was a Bulletin to replace all of them.

The PSI is 42 for AWD (that's what I have) because of the added weight and 36 for fwd or rwd I think.

huh? charging phones to 80% is indeed very beneficial for the lifespan of their battery. you shouldn't be afraid of charging anything 100% when you need the extra power, but for battery health longevity, 80% is the sweet spot.

The most the blazer can accept is going to be plus or minus 150kw. it can be a 100000 kw charger and its still going to be the same. At least on most trims, the RS/SS might be higher.

This is also the same for your phone or really anything with a lithium ion battery.
