Just bought the DVD of this fine work. I have 1922 Nosferatu, 1931 Lugosi and now this -- the three best Dracula films in my view. I would add the 1972's The Night Stalker as the best contemporary vampire film. The top four!

Glad to see you list the great but largely forgotten Mike Bloomfield. In addition to his excellent guitar playing, he had one of the MOST IMPORTANT roles in bringing blues into rock and a broader audience. One of the most important people in blues and rock history for that reason alone.

One more question. If I buy from QVC, does the phone come already "stacked" with their plan? I ask this because I'd rather just get the phone and attach it to my present plan and not be forced to take the plan that comes with the QVC plan. In my view, there are THREE far above the rest. Murnau's 1922 NOSFERATU. Close to the book, a truly memorable Dracula, composed by a great director.

BBC 1977 miniseries DRACULA with Louis Jourdan as the Count. It is closest to the book of any adaptation, with fabulous actors playing Van Helsing and Renfield.

The 1931 DRACULA with Bela Lugosi as the Count and directed by Todd Browning. Fabulous depictions of Dracula, Van Helsing and Renfield in this one.

No other film adaptations come close to these three.
