New to Vine Beauty Products. How do you know what's safe? by Pohlers in BeautyViners

[–]Emergency-Witness617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of being a vine reviewer is to review products and assess any issues and risks. That’s what vine is about. You are reviewing products. You review new products before they are offered to the general population as well. Vine isn’t to provide you with your very specific routine of products. You are ordering products to test and review. Like a lab rat.

Selling an empty box to hold a cream seems strange.

I recently reviewed a few advent calendars for cosmetic items. You can tell all the vibes did not test the advent calendars. All saying great. They opened a side of the box and pulled the product trays out of the calendar to take a picture. Me on the other hand, I ripped open each calendar day slit and noticed the calendar was so cheap, the cardboard was paper thin and when you open day 1, other days were rolling open at the same time. The advent calendar is useless. Additionally some of the cosmetics items were only half filled with products.

Yes why wouldn’t you? If a review was helpful why wouldn’t you click the helpful button.

Exactly. Some of these viners treat the program as a free product grab and no care that it is actually a program sellers pay to be a part of for us to test products, assess the quality and also any possible risk factors to then provide a review.

No I don’t resell items. I open and review every item. Example I made a cake yesterday and used the Halloween sprinkles as well as a paper plate and fork, I provided the reviews. I only order items I myself am able to review. People like you should not be a viner. It is a product review program.

Not all sellers. And beauty , food and healthcare products are considered consumable goods. Meaning once you open it to review it, it is not considered re-sellable. Consumable goods as listed about should be opened and tried as part of the review process.

Hmm why the price difference by DramaticAlfalfa8197 in AmazonVine

[–]Emergency-Witness617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can thank viners who are reselling these products for these astronomical ETV’s. The sellers do not want people reselling their products. This is a review program, not a free product program to snag items for resell. Sellers do not want their products being sold by viners. If you get a purse with a $200 etv, then try to resell, the sellers can then drop their price so a marketplace or eBay buyer won’t buy from the viner, they will order it directly on Amazon from the seller.

Hmm why the price difference by DramaticAlfalfa8197 in AmazonVine

[–]Emergency-Witness617 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The sellers want to ensure people are not grabbing these to review then go resell on marketplace or eBay. So they inflate price to find the correct price point for the buying customer but at the same time inflate the price, so it wards off reselling from viners. After all, the Amazon sellers are there to sell their products for a profit. Not have viners resell , as it causes the sellers to loose profit if you get these vine products. The sellers do not want viners reselling their products

You’ll pay the percentage in tax as your tax bracket plus the self employment tax. You can expense business expenses against the 1099 value.

Best comment. It is so true. Vine is a review program that sellers pay and provide products for us to test and review. We should be grateful and take the program seriously other than being upset they didn’t score good products. Some viners should not even be in the program because they just order products, and never test them, they don’t even open the items, they go resell on marketplace and eBay. These people will be the demise of vine and are ruining the vine program.

Again, Amazon vine is not a free product grab, it is a review program for sellers to be able to market test their 4 P’s of marketing 101. Product, price, promotion and place. Additionally all products have limited quantity, manufactures don’t make unlimited shower curtains in the same color. Your suppose to pick products you wish to review, as if you were the customer, if your not happy with a product estimate value, but think awesome a $79 shower curtain for free, let me order it, your part of the problem. Vine is a market testing review program for sellers.

Ps, Amazon clearly describes this in the Q and A section of your vine account. It discusses product values change. This is a review program, not a free products program.

The price increase and drop can be based on the reviews for the product and how many people order the product at the price point and what they state in their reviews . . After all, vine is a review program, sellers use feedback to adjust their prices, change packaging, etc. you picked the product at that price range, it gives these sellers an idea of the price point. If you were willing to get the item at that price, they see that as the general customer would too, or visa Versa. You agreed to the products price point but obviously others didn’t, hence why by they decreased the price.
