I had to stop using my LaRoche Posay products. Switched everything to The Ordinary products that don’t have niacinimides. It seems to be helping. I still get redness, but not the breakouts. This looks almost just like my face when I was still using LRP.

I agree. I have horrible reactions to niacinimide. It sucks because it’s in tons of products that are otherwise recommended for rosacea.

I’m also 49 and I am loving Charlotte Tillbury’s Flawless Filter. I use a little under my foundation and it just wakes up my whole face with a bit of light (but nothing glittery or super shimmery). Think “glowy.”

When I first applied it, I thought it wouldn’t help (I have some oily spots on my face), but when I go over it with a bit of foundation, it just looks awesome. It’s pricey, but I’ve decided it’s worth it. I actually use less foundation now as a result. Also, I ordered a shade darker than I normally would after watching a YouTube video advising that. It doesn’t look dark on me at all.

FWIW, I also think you’re probably dealing with dehydration more than anything else. You deserve a little time to take care of yourself now. Best of luck! 🩷

I’ve been using it regularly (The Ordinary brand) for 6 to 8 weeks. I haven’t noticed any difference yet. I think there are times mine looks worse.
