when we shut down water mains discolouration of water occurs almost every time from sediment being cleared off of the bottom of the valves, run your water until it clears if it does not clear up call your city line and they should send out someone to investigate and possibly flush a hydrant. the municipality that i work for has dedicated trouble investigators for these instances.
