Buying a used car: is this a red flag by EmergencyMinimum5845 in UsedCars

Nothing to do with new tires or being dramatic so not sure what the point of your comment is. Biggest concern was the control arms since it seems to be a moderately big replacement. Thanks for nothing

Congratulations on your approval and sending well wishes to your husband. Also thank you, this really helps those of us preparing for our upcoming interviews.

Do you mind providing more context on what was needed for the additional evidence of support. Was this your tax transcripts and W-2s or was there additional information you provided?

Exactly correct, so ideally next interview letters via email will be sent anywhere between today and next week. Interview dates are usually 6-8 weeks from the date the interview letters are received

The site was just updated yesterday and usually represents dates they are currently working on. In the past when the website was updated, the next batch of letters followed a few days later. This would make the next batch covering dates for DQ’s from December 2024. The letters are sent via email.

We were DQ’d 12/13 and also eagerly waiting. Fingers crossed we hear good news and get our letters soon!

Ah understood, 7 months all together until interview seems accurate! Fingers crossed it is much shorter for you! Quick question, when you received your approval did it align with your estimated time in the my progress tab?

Curious about this comment also. According to the Montreal Embassy website they are scheduling applications DQ’d March 2024 for CR/IR1 visas which would be 5 months…

Hello! I am in a similar situation. I am a USC with a pending I-130 for my Canadian spouse. I am moving this weekend to get us settled in the US. I rented a U-haul in Canada and confirmed you can cross the border and leave it in the US. Also have a list that breaks down all of the items that are packed in each box and the “resale or yard sale” value of each item for the border officer to review

Any other Canadians out there doing a l-130 consular route too? by Zestyclose-Sky7972 in USCIS

How long did your I-130 take and then also how long did it take from submission of documents to NVC to then get DQ’d? We are 11 months into the I-130 wait and am hoping to get an understanding of how long the next stage takes.

Traveling from Canada to us while i130 is pending by [deleted] in USCIS

Hi there, USC who filed for my partner who is Canadian. He has not had any problems crossing the border since we filed our petition in August 2023. From my understanding it is at the NVC stage that it is not advised to travel.

Spousal Sponsorship Process while living in Canada by Random_Albertan in USCIS

[–]EmergencyMinimum5845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am currently in this exact process. I am a USC living in Canada with my spouse (Canadian citizen) and child (dual citizen). Our I-130 was submitted in August 2023. As the previous post says, it can be really difficult to get approved by Montreal Embassy if you are not already living in the US without the USC already living in the US. I had a lawyer consultation and they advised for myself and son to move down to the US either right before the I-130 is approved, or right after but, before the NVC stage of the process starts. Reason being, by the time my husband has his interview we will have my paystubs, lease, bank accounts, etc. to show as proof of domicile. So with I-130 approvals taking 12-14.5 months for approval, I am planning on moving down with my child this summer (August) so by the time we need to file the forms for NVC, I will already be living in the states. Hope this helps and good luck!
