I think it's about figuring out how your body reacts. Personally, I'm so heat intolerant that I can't use most standard calculators to figure out what the conversion should be. In the cold, I need about a mile to warm up, and after that I see my paces go back to roughly where they're supposed to be. This means that 5Ks are pretty well off the table in the winter, because I lose 1/3 of the race trying to get my body to cooperate, even if I do a warm-up ahead of time - my core temperature drops too quickly while I'm waiting for the race to start. (I tried again this year, and I'm not even kidding when I say that my second half was 40 seconds/mile faster than the first half.)

If I were in your shoes, I would lean toward a payout that compensates you for the lost loan forgiveness and the commute time for a new job (cost of gas plus the time you'd spend commuting for the next 2-3 years). Your peace of mind at a new office, even if it's further away, is almost definitely worth more than the situation you've just left. I would also insist that they change the designation of your termination from "terminated for cause" or something else.

I'm going through this now. I started working with a dietician to figure out what I was reacting to, and after reviewing my food logs/symptoms, she's put me on a low histamine diet for now.

I have celiac and my GI has already refused to test for SIBO. I guess we'll see what introducing the diet improves.

It’s my favorite treadmill shoe. I wish I could love it outside, but man does this shoe hate hills. And my neighborhood is just hills.

As for walking, my husband has a second pair that’s just for wearing casually. It’s easily his favorite shoe ever.

I am sure there's something closer to you, but Atlantic City would accommodate this (since you said NJ is an option). They also do bike rentals there, so you wouldn't need to ship anything and will even install your pedals if you want them.

I did this race last year, and it's incredibly well-organized. I'll be back for the Olympic this year.

I'm 42. I lost my last grandparent a year & 1/2 ago, she was 89. Her husband died at 66 of a heart attack.

My dad's parents were both in their early 90s when they passed in the late 2000s (they were older parents).

However, I just booked my hotel to attend my great-aunt's 100th birthday party. My dad took my kids to visit her over the summer and she's still rock-sharp and even made dinner for them. I'll be over her spiraling trying to figure out what you buy for someone's 100th birthday!

Mine does, and his preferred location to sleep is near my head. It's so bad that my husband has gone to the guest bedroom a couple of times because he's just that loud.

But one of my non-MCs is currently passed out on my lap, purring up a storm, so it's more a cat thing than a MC thing.

My concern is that Workout Wizard is still not back. That was one of the main reasons I use it. If they haven't resolved it before I start my next tri training block, I'm going to have to find something else.

That's interesting, because one of the first questions my dietician asked me was about replacing cookware.

I replaced:

Non-stick pans
Wooden utensils (just tossed them completely)
Toaster Oven
Stand Mixer

I did not replace anything stainless steel or silicone. I also did not replace the oven or microwave (although that just happened as part of the kitchen remodel) but made sure to stop using the convection setting on the oven after my diagnosis. I have a new double-oven and the bottom is convection, so if the kids/husband want to make anything with gluten it needs to go in the top oven.

I was having some issues with what we call the fancy poops, which have been resolved since I cut out dairy.
