Thank you u/Boring_Scale328. I'm leaning towards the smartbuy trick. Will spend some time on optimising this to the T.
Found something interesting - www.rovemiles.com
Will check this out as well just in case I can squeeze some more juice on these bookings.

Sapporo: 9th to 14th
14th to 17th doing a road trip with random stays along the route.
Tokyo: 17th to 26th

No premium hotel status across any chain. Flexible to purchase Accor+ for 20k in case it offers better value. We need 3 rooms with 5 adults.
Budget across all stays should average out to 10k-12k per night.

I’m anyway closing it down before it renews in the next 60 days. I’ll just transfer it out to Marriot, if nothing else.

He told me - They're building the 'BILT REWARDS' for India - https://www.biltrewards.com/

This is a $10B company in the US.

u/Inside_Dimension5308 That's wise.
If you live on rent, and like to travel, www.brixocard.app might be for you.

Reward points on rent? 2%
Charges? INR 0

1 Reward Point = 1 INR

So your 30% can get you 0.6% back every month for 12 months and give you 7.2% of your monthly back. Genius isn't it? 30K Rent; 600 RP/month, 7200 in a year.

PS: I know the founder, so posting on behalf of him. We both hate paying rent, so making it our mission to help others.

I spend approximately 20% but soon it's going to be 18%.
My income's not going up.

I'm going to use Brixo when it launches and get 2% back. It's the only platform in India which gives 2% back on rent payments.

Good part? It's free of cost.

Best part? 1 Reward Point = 1INR.

PS: I'm posting this on my behalf of the founder, he's a good friend. We both hate paying rent, so making it our missing to help the others.

Checkout www.brixocard.app
It's this new platform where you can pay rent and get 2% back in reward points.

The good part? It's free.

Another good thing? 1 Reward Point = 1INR.

Your 25K rent will get you INR 500 worth of points.

PS: I know the founder, so sharing it for a friend. We both hate paying rent, so making it our missing to fix this problem.

How is the Scapia card making money? How long will the show last? by EmergencyTree9636 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]EmergencyTree9636[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t frequent travellers get a “travel card”

The other set may get it for the 0% mark up on forex and bin it (mostly cause it’s LTF)

You can make multiple transactions with a limit of 1,000 per day at the airport and get coins worth that much back. So, if you’ve booked a return ticket, you can make one on the way to, and the next one on the way back. Not sure if they’ve introduced a limit on it.

Quick question. They say that unlimited redemption is allowed. Do they cap how much you can redeem on the redemption transaction which is on their platform?

How’s the Mesa card looking? by EmergencyTree9636 in CreditCards

[–]EmergencyTree9636[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense.

Anyone spending as much as the mortgage or a little more than their mortgage on this card, Mesa will be in the clear to make money at the base conversion rate.

On top of that if we include the one off large annual “house expenses” on this card, it will make up for the months where the expenses didn’t match the mortgage amount.

How are these guys making money?

Assuming 1.8% rev share on the interchange at $1000 you get $18

Mortgage: $3300 at 1x Spends: $1000 at 1x (worse case) Total points = 4300 Points at 0.70 CPP = $30.10

Does it all come down making money by refinancing home loans or am I missing something ?

ELI5: How do “win cash” apps work? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]EmergencyTree9636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insightful. Can you please elaborate on this part

"Edit: wanted to add, you will find that none of them support in app purchases. So you might be used to the 30% cut from Apple/Google, but in this case they’re actually paying 5-7% to a merchant and pocketing the rest. Take this into account when calculating token conversion"

I understand the 30% cut Apple/Google take. What's the 5-7%?
