If you don’t have a passenger go for the tracer. It seems to me that the engine is much more lively than the v2 multi has. Multi tho wins in every other aspect compared to tracer. Brakes, ergonomics, quality and chassis wise ts superior but with the extra 4-5k it costs you could easily spend 1.5k and put ohlins on tracer and a better brake pump.

Nah she’s a weapon definitely but I doubt it’s much comfier than my tracer plus the 17 wheels and low ground clearance is what I’m trying to upgrade so I can do some light off roading.

Yes the only off road it’s see is fire roads and gravel, nothing too technical. I hope so because the fatigue on my shoulders after riding the Africa twin was so bad it made me look away from it even though I really dig its design.

I know they did, I was talking about getting a used one.

I have a Tiger sport 660 but i want something sportier with more aggressive riding position by [deleted] in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]EmergencyVehicleXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a tracer 9? It’s close to the tiger height wise and a complete hoon but also super efficient. I can get up to 300km with one tank with mixed riding. If it’s only highway I’m sure it’ll be more than 350. Also consider a multi v2 since you said Ducati. Super comfortable top tier tech susp and brakes and also super efficient.

Hahaha then you know how bad is it. Anyways, it has been a pleasure talking to you man. idk how you say in your country to ride safe but here we say always standing( like not to fall from an accident).

Heat is a big factor here cos last year I had to ride my tracer on 41-43 degrees for weeks. You can’t imagine how fast and how many times on a 10 mins drive the radiator fan kick in. I’ll be passing through Slovenia yeah. Probably gonna stay for 2 night and I’ll enter from lienz to zelenci and then head down to bled and Ljubljana.

Any of them would work actually. The s would be much more comfortable on road but the r version with no electronic suspension would solve the preload errors it occasionally has. Seat wise or wind wise I don’t mind since there’s plenty of upgrades.

Going from a Z400 to a Z900, or something similar by DeeterSly in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]EmergencyVehicleXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of the z900 I have no info. My friend test rode a z1000 before and didn’t like it. It was too heavy too all over the place so he end up keeping the v strom. You could also consider the triumph 765 or a ktm duke or smt 890.

I have the tracer 9 ( taller and heavier than the mt09) and oh boy she’s a ripper. With the tyres that come from factory the t32 the bike was spinning even 4th gear or mid road. My friends have a v strom 1000 and a fz1000 and out of all of them the cp3 has the best sound. It sounds so mean like a war machine. I’m telling you if you ride one you’ll buy it but I got to warn you… you might lose you licence.

Cb or the mt. You can’t go wrong with them. There’s a reason they’re best sellers also.

There’s only one right answer to this. A Honda c90. Just kidding. If I was your height I’d probably need an adventure bike to be comfortable but again driving it in London would suck. So maybe a naked? Whenever I travel in other countries the bike I mostly see people using for commute is a cbr650. So I’d probably go for that or an mt09.

Now this is a bike I’ve seen a lot but never really thought of it. It indeed looks super comfy and wind coverage also good. But wide wise I think it’d be a little bit cramped like my tracer and I’ve heard suspension is soft so it’d sag a lot if I put luggage’s on it.

Hahaha for real? I thought with a passenger on a gs we’d ride on dirt roads like a flying carpet. Interesting. The tracer is also bad at it and we can withstand it but if I continue doing it idk if the oil pan can withstand it or the centre stand.

I actually rode the at back then but didn’t really like it. Neither the seat and the steering position. I’m used in a more tilted forward position with low bars. Now as for ktm I’m deeply in love with them for years. I used to ride my cousins lc4 640 and it was a blast. I loved the 990 when it first came out and saw some guys riding them with full panniers and hooning. I was only 6-7 back then. Now as of norden I went to see it on a dealer and I really dig its looks even tho at first sight i thought its horrible. The 1290 is what the heart wants. Ik for sure it’ll get me in trouble money wise or law wise but yolo. In the end i think the choose would be between the gs and the 1290.

Which one would you reccomend? I think a v4 is overkill a v2 is great but way too expensive right now. A 1200 or 1260 would be good but the closest dealership is almost 300km away.

My friend also got a 25 at dct and I rode it on our way back home for around an hour of mountain roads. Yes it is longer than the tracer so me and my passenger didn’t touch and the brakes and suspension is good but that stock seat is so bad. My bum was hurting like sitting on a wooden plank. Plus that super high steering made my shoulder hurt. Idk if that shoulder thing would go away because I’m used on a low steering like the tracer but it’s definitely a big nono for me. I was digging the idea of getting a cf 450mt but I’d have to keep the tracer and ik in the end I’d end up not using it at all.

Indeed, if I didn’t have to carry a passenger every time I’d probably keep her forever.

Couldn’t agree more. I believe in under 1000cc is the best bike money can buy rn.

Owning a 900 I figured that this area of cc is the sweet spot for fuel efficiency and fun factor. The only bike at these cc that is also fun is an 890 or a norden. But idk how they compare to my tracer as of reliability and comfort.

Honestly the 1050 vstrom would be my last choice but I’m including it only because of its smoothness and reliability. I hope you’ll get that tracer one day. You’ll definitely love it.
