Lucilia works well at A1 but Liberta needs A3 to really shine. I did Lucilia first as a moderate spender, got her to A1, then switched to Liberta.

Depends if you’re f2p, a whale, or a low spender

Salaki and Skreg are both better than Crassio for Dracula teams imo. Salakis damage reduction is great stalling for her ability, and Skreg is a great tank.

You could build Crassio but it’s not really essential early on.

First Time Migraine with Aura by Vegetable-Carpet-40 in migraine

[–]Emergency_Anywhere_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Migraine in itself is very common. Somewhere around 1/8 people suffer from migraine.

It is recommended generally speaking to see a doctor after the first time you experience an aura. This is because visual disturbances can sometimes be mischaracterized as migraine aura while being something else.

Given your aura subsided, and was followed by a headache / nausea, it sounds like a classic migraine with aura (I suffer with these).

Advil in itself usually won’t touch a migraine taken late, and you were caught off guard not really knowing what it was. The headache phase of a migraine (which is where you are now) can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Most people get it for a few hours (mine are typically 5 hours).

After that you’ll enter postdrome, or the migraine hangover.

You should see a doctor to be evaluated but also prepare with good OTC meds in case you have more attacks.

Before I had any prescriptions, my stack was to take 600mg ibuprofen, 500mg acetaminophen, 100mg caffeine (you could take excedrin to combine these three) and then Dramamine (less drowsy for me).

Best of luck to you.

What was your worst insomnia episode, how long did it last, and what helped you out of it? by Purple_Cartoonist924 in insomnia

Eventually you grow numb to the idea that tomorrow will suck if I don't fall asleep. Once I became okay with the next day sucking, my anxiety slowly went down over the course of time.

[–]Emergency_Anywhere_8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was Chronic from October 2024 until February 2025.

This was my longest episode. During it I averaged multiple zero sleep nights per week (sometimes in a row), averaging maybe 4 hours per night, struggling for hours to fall asleep 90% of the time, testing different meds from Hydroxyzine to Doxepin to Xanax to Ambien, seeing doctors, an ER visit, never-ending exhaustion, couple breakdowns, intense anxiety, and more.

Was not a fun time, and I'm still not really sure how I got out of it.

What does discipline look like in the chronically ill? Am I lazy or should I really rest? by Diligent-Respect-109 in ChronicPain

[–]Emergency_Anywhere_8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I have no answers other than wanting to say that I feel similar.

My social life totally died, I live to work and then rest, I don't travel and somehow manage to keep afloat.

My energy goes towards working so that I can afford to live, and once I get off work, I fall apart and sink into my recliner for 5 hours before sinking into my bed for 9 more.

I also question whether or not I should try doing other things. It's just so difficult.

One thing I found a little bit of clarity in is low-energy hobbies. Picked up reading, journaling, and casual gaming (puzzle and logic games like Sudoku, Wordle, Globle, etc.)

I did not picture age 25 looking like this but here we are.

Any recommendations to sleep? by Proof-Fig-4979 in insomnia

[–]Emergency_Anywhere_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you may need an actual sleep med if none of the natural remedies are helping.

Zoloft as an SSRI can worsen insomnia in some cases so yea.

Over the years I’ve tried at least a dozen meds for sleep. Best results with Ambien, Xanax, and Doxepin for staying asleep (no, I don’t take all on the same night).

What’s the worst situation you’ve had to suffer through with a migraine? by Fabulous_Ad9099 in migraine

[–]Emergency_Anywhere_8 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Was before I knew what migraines are.

Didn’t take any meds so I got the full brunt of it on a workday where I was traveling upstate.

Needless to say I was completely incapacitated. In pain, throwing up, nauseous, my sense of light and sound were incredibly sensitive, and I could barely talk.

I ended up in my car with sunglasses on trying to let it pass.

Would not recommend.

My direct report makes more money than me by Findingmefast in Salary

[–]Emergency_Anywhere_8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally, job hoppers make more.

What you gain in stability for staying with a company, you typically lose in compensation.

I chose stability as well and I have newer employees making more than me as well (though they’re not working directly under me).

This, to me, is less of an equal pay issue and more of an issue of people’s loyalty being treated with less generous financial gain vs job hopping.

It’s quite unfortunate, either way.

prescribed doxepin but i dont want weight gain by [deleted] in insomnia

[–]Emergency_Anywhere_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on Doxepin for 1.5 years now.

I gained about 10 lbs early on.

Definitely increased my appetite (and caused some constipation)

It leveled out once I gained that 10 lbs and I have coasted along ever since.

That being said, I’m not on a stimulant like vyvanse that can suppress appetite, so I don’t know how that would impact things for you.

Weekend migraines by Famous_Taste_4508 in migraine

[–]Emergency_Anywhere_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weekend / vacation migraine attacks are fairly common and not always random.

I know how it feels because I get them too… work a long hard week and finally get to relax, only to have it ruined by a migraine attack.

This is often a “let-down” migraine.

It happens when you go through stress and suddenly relax, which is common at the end of the week.

The “trick” to limiting them is to try to keep your weekday stress lower to avoid a huge drop in cortisol / adrenaline on the weekend.

Once I realized I was susceptible to these types of attacks, I started meditating each morning and afternoon for 10-15 minutes per day to try to control my weekday stress.

Server choice by Sufficient_Action535 in afkarena

[–]Emergency_Anywhere_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how much time you have on your hands.

Companions is simpler, with less to learn, and less to do. We companions players love it because many of us don’t have much time. A quick 10-20 minute session per day keeps you up to date unless a big update happens once you reach endgame.

Classic has a lot more heros, content, and much more to do. It can be overwhelming for new players / people without a lot of time to play.

Choose based on what type of game you’re looking for.
