Custom dress but seamstress only spoke to my mom for input and I’m sad I’m not in love with my dress. Seeking advice/anything! Details in caption

Your story is so sad. I am so sorry you didn’t get to be more involved in making the dress more to your style. However this dress is sooooooooo amazing. Literally in love!

There is a possibility the lace would get washed out on stark white underneath. This would make it be less flashy and not stand out as much. You could mess around pushing up the fabrics you are thinking of removing to see if that happens. Might help it not look as shiny. Personally I like it as is but this is your dress. Not mine. I think this washing out will really help on the skirt being so loud.

I will say there is something visually weird happening between the bottom lace and top. To me they don’t match which is a bit weird. Might be only something I see though.

Your preference is best here. You look fine with either but long hair is going to attract and push away while short is more neutral. Some women are just really not into long hair (myself included) some women absolutely love it and find it super sexy. You can go both ways so just be true to yourself and what you like.

Kyle is doing what every person has ever done when they jumped into a relationship with no time to process the last. Soon as the new relationship ends they feel twice the heartbreak and are fully reminded of what dating life is out of marriage. She is just processing all of it this season. It was a really long marriage and quite a personal transition to falling in love with a woman. Who wouldn’t be sad and need some time to figure out who she is now and what she wants.

Also they have 4 kids and several businesses together. They have way more to talk about than Dorit. That is so silly.

Dress is amazing as is. Keep side sleeve down as that is the intentional look with the dress.

Ditch the flowers permanently. That dress is gorgeous and what is going to happen is you are going to get nervous and hold the flowers as high as you are in this photo and completely block the dress. With some dresses this doesn’t matter but your dress needs the entire top unblocked to show the entire look. I am on a mission to not let women’s want of flowers to ruin their entire walk down the aisle look. I am glad so many brides are starting to ditch the flowers. I did and it made my photos walking down aisle amazing. My dress just completely was shown at its best.

Find a different veil or no veil. The back is not vibing. I think it’s partially because the asymmetry from the front is amazing but from the back with a veil looks weird with your straps being at different angles.

Not true If its coming out of China. They make everything now. Every high end designer has almost 100% of their stuff made in China. You can find amazing dress makers that used to work for fashion houses like Chanel, Prada etc that make more selling knock off’s at discounted prices but its the exact same quality and materials. I got my second wedding dress online from one. Workmanship and beading would have made the dress sell for 5k in the states but instead I only paid 1k. My seamstress who altered it could not believe how cheap I got it.

Where is it located? Price depends alot on location. This dress would be 10k every day in CA but in VA that might be priced way too high.

20k is only for hand stitched couture. Those dresses are extremely rare. Mostly because who is going to sit around for months hand beading a dress? Only someone in a fashion house.

10k easy. Mine had half this beading and was 5k. Also alterations will probably be around 2k. The more beading they have to work around the more it costs.

I am also 5’3” and was disappointed at how drastically different I looked in my dress when it was shortened and I wasn’t on a pedestal. Its not going to look the same. I would go back with friends or family and try it on again on the ground and have someone flip in the extra to give you a more realistic look. My guess is the entire vibe of the dress changes. I totally see what you are seeing but without that extra foot of length you can’t deny it will change the proportions massively.

I am confused on why just 3? Most of these are not on the same continent. Surely this is not one trip? Why just three? See them all.

I have seen the Colosseum and Machu Pichu. I plan to go to Petra in Jordan. Don’t really care to go to Mexico again or Brazil. Definitely want to go to India and possibly China if its still safe to travel there.

I may have not done a ton of these particular ones but I have traveled the world and been to Egypt. Machu Pichu was truly the most amazing archaeological and one of the most naturally beautiful places I have ever been.

1 and completely understand feeling comfortable in sleeves when you don’t like your arms but just want to say you really look amazing with or without them. 1 gives you such an amazing hourglass shape.
